Hi everyone,

One of the biggest undertakings that Intrepid has been quiet about for a long time is nodes and node advancement.

What I would like to hear is your thoughts and wishes about the leveling of a node specifically. Should it visually happen instantaneously? Should it be a seamless transition? What are your thoughts on making sure that players are not stuck in buildings popping up?

For inspiration: we saw an animation of an armoury being constructed back in march 2020 which could be used for general node advancement video.

In the latest iteration we have seen, there is no transition, it happens in an instant.

Also in the current iterations, the aesthetics changes when a node levels up, depending on which race contributed the most to the advancement. This means a level 4 Py'rai node, can change visuals completely if it was Dünir that contributed the most towards level 5, leaving you with a dwarven aesthetic (source). Do you think this should stay or should it be changed?

Not to influence anyone's opinion in this discussion, but in case you missed it from the end of the July 2022 Development Update we spoke a bit about developing nodes and mayoral building options. Here's a timestamp to that conversation.
