[2020] Intrepid is so clearly committed to the game and its community

Intrepid is so clearly committed to making a game that they themselves and the players are proud of.

After yesterday’s AMA a lot of people voiced their dissatisfaction with multiboxing as a response to Steven’s claim that as of right now multiboxing will be allowed in AoC.

The MMORPG community at large is not in support of multiboxing and Asmongold voiced the same opinion on his stream. Steven, as always, comes out with an awesome statement on discord addressing this issue and allows the community to give feedback that will be heard: “Greetings my Glorious friends, I enjoyed the awesome AMA and look forward to doing more in the future. I love the outpouring and support/passion being shown by so many new faces. We appreciate you joining in on the discussion and sharing your thoughts on the genre we all love. In that spirit and due to your feedback from this AMA, I have directed our community team to post a discussion thread on the forums next week regarding thoughts on Multi-boxing. My position is that launching multiple applications on a single computer will be prohibited, but multi boxing from separate computers is acceptable, as long as the client that's running is not under any 3rd party program or macros. However, as I said, community feedback is very important, so we will be hosting a community discussion next week”.

This is incredible and I’m so glad to be following a game whose developers have this mindset. Time will tell if Ashes of Creation will be a good game, but there is no denying that Intrepid is committed and passionate about making a good MMORPG due to their great love for the genre.

This is an appreciation post that hopes to address the distrust that MMORPG players have of developers (Ashes of Creation developers included). Intrepid has acted and reacted in this way many times over the years. Please be patient with them and try to understand that they really are on the gamers’ side. Just listen to the man talk from his home about the game, the genre, and the community. It’s pure passion.
