[2021] Don’t delete the PS4 version till you migrated your save!

The save migration works for me now, but every time I try to load in to any gameplay mode the game just crashes on PS5 (in the PS5 version of the game). I was able to walk around in Avengers Initiative as Captain America for a bit, so I waited for all of the trophies to pop, switched to Clint, and then went to the main menu to try the new story mode.

Now, the game crashes whenever I try to load ANY play mode. Avengers Initiative, the new Hawkeye level or anything else. I'm reinstalling the PS4 version since I can't load an old backup save on the PS5 version. Very frustrating, do you know any workarounds?

I downloaded the PS5 version and launched it straight away, I didn’t launch the PS4 version to “migrate”, why would I? Then upon realising it didn’t migrate anything, I had to delete the PS5 saves (console and cloud, and after re-enable auto sync for it). Then launch PS4 and trigger migration from there, and then launch PS5 and it worked.

The above is VERY convoluted for PS5 users, and at the very least should shout out a warning about it if you launch the PS5 version with a fresh save.

I'm having this same issue, except that it happens before I even get to the start menu - it hangs and freezes with a 1-second audio loop after the developer/publisher cards.
