As we begin to introduce changes that affect story, BG3's next patch will make saves from the previous version incompatible. But, if you wish to continue, there will be a secondary branch where you can continue playing the previous version. @jlannister If you disable automatic updates on GOG, then when the update releases your game won't automatically update and you'll be able to play your current save.
