Left unattended, Ballast Flora eventually grows into a Thalamus. While Ballast Flora grows from spores, Thalami have fleshy organs that seem to bleed when struck.
Would a Thalamus be a creature (the spores aren’t true spores in the way plants use spores) or a fungus/plant (the organs/brain are called that because we don’t know what else to call them, and the blood is closer to sap than blood)?
