I'm not sure how I feel about this. I think some legitimate rants will get removed, and to be honest, with all of the bugs etc., this sub should be full of rants until that shit gets sorted. Let's not pretend that everything is cool, it's not. I seriously hope that no one to do with the game encouraged the moderators to add this rule.

I've seen quite a few ranting posts get hundreds of upvotes, ranting posts that would probably be removed if they were posted today, and that's not cool IMO.

I understand that it’s annoying seeing all the posts of the glitches, but that should light a f**king fire under your asses. This should be the ammo you need to finally grow up and take responsibility for your product by coming out and saying you know you guys f**ked up and are working to fix it. That to me and I’m sure many people would have meant way more than throwing maps in our faces. Maps which as it stands, are already delayed. Let’s see how fast you dump this comment now too

as someone who also recently created a rant post (i self deleted it after i calmed down and realized it wasn't very productive) I can fully sympathise with those who feel anger or frustration with the current state of the game and i fail to see how censoring people's expression of those feelings are going to result in a positive outcome.

these expressions of anger or "rants" as you call them are the direct result of the current state of the game and as such will drop into the negative and rise into the positive depending on the current consensus of opinion on the game.

in the same way you wouldn't attack or berate someone experiencing depression or sadness, as it would simply result in a deepening of those negative emotions, banning or censoring someone because they expressed their discontent would only serve to deepen those feelings of anger and resentment and leed to even more aggressive emotions.

i would hope that we can all agree that the last thing the battlefield community needs right now is a further deepening of anger and resentment towards DICE or EA and while i know you are not directly connected to them you are for all intents and purposes their representatives here on reddit and as such should seek to mitigate hostile expressions instead of fueling them.

I would urge you to seek alternate means of combating ranting and negative posts instead of flat banning or removing posts.
