If you die and someone builds a fortification over your body right as you die (after the death countdown wheel), you can’t respawn and get stuck in the death screen.

External link →After having this happen a few times, I also started suspecting it might have to do with dying inside fortifications the moment they're built (which, by the way, is not as unlikely as it sounds because if you build a fortification while a player is downed inside it, it'll only complete the instant the player stops being reviveable), but I think there is a little more to it.
Your post inspired me to do some testing (see link below) and from what I've observed it seems to be specific to stationary weapons. Holding the revive seems to make the bug more likely to happen but it might not be necessary. In contrast, in one particular round I wasn't able to reproduce the bug at all despite following the same steps that had proven to be reliable before.
