Awww, that's unfortunate. You spawned into a tank right when your team lost the sector. The chance of that happening... It's a nice edge case scenario you found there. This is gonna be a tricky one to fix.

This is an issue that has been carried over from BF1. Basically during retreat teammates can still spawn on your vehicle despite you being out of bounds for them. If they spawn on you, the desertion timer starts ticking on their end, and once it runs out the game destroys the vehicle killing all of its occupants. Quite an oversight.
