[2019] BUG: Tank camera desync causing point of impact shift (you can shoot all you want, but won't hit anything)

My squad stole a tank yesterday but I had little success and mostly failure when attempting to kill anything with it (I suspect they abandoned it for a reason...), initially I thought it was something like the joined late causing no damage bug... however it was capable of doing damage (just with an extreme difficulty/frustration level - this person was on 3 health the entire time).

With a little more testing it appeared that the camera/aim was desynced from point of impact: in this clip my squad mate is actually shooting directly at the very helpful and cooperative meatpopsicle/squadmate.

In this clip you can see the third person reticles are separated and don't align, and the first person view/ADS view are likewise desynced. Projectiles will visually strike at the little circle (my point of aim) but actually land at the unzoomed point of aim (in this example it would be somewhere to the left).

Note that for the player in the tank the rounds would always appear to impact correctly at point of aim, in the second video above the tank functioned correctly on their screen (yet somehow made a crater to the side, at the point of impact on my screen).

Edit: Short clip showing me shooting at a corpse for a while, I asked my squad to spot where the shots were actually landing which was to the lower left. You can clearly see the huge jumps when using first person/ADS.

I'm uncertain who would handle this sort of bug, or if it's more a case of open a JIRA ticket and let it ferment for a while; either way could you try to make sure it will one day see the light of day at the correct persons desk?

I'm reasonably certain now that I've looked at old footage that it's what causes the majority of the 'dusting' I've experienced with tanks, almost every clip featuring dusting has a desync between crosshairs (to be fair, none come even remotely close to the magnitude witnessed yesterday, but apparently enough to still cause problems).

Ouch those videos are painful to watch, thanks for the extensive research.

Not sure what the status is of this bug, but I reported it directly to the vehicle designers and QA, so it will be handled asap.
