In GA , this is a way better way of playing. I have way more fun knowing I can get back into the action instead having to wait 5 seconds only for the person to die or be in combat
Thus spawning me 500ft away from the objective and unable to help my team.

At the moment the default spawn timer is 10 seconds. You see the 5 second timer as the countdown begins when you die and it takes 5 seconds to get to the spawn screen.
We have the ability to push it down (as you know) but the concern is that it does cause some bigger problems. Both through multiple game modes and on different maps.
