That is indeed correct. As per the shared article:
Cross-play:

• PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®5 system (PC and console can opt-out from playing together)
• Xbox One and PlayStation®4 systems

Hey @CloudMcRip,

Do you mean that you would like to have some clarification if you play on Gen5 consoles, turn cross-play off, that you still play with other Gen5 consoles but without PC? And that it does not mean PS5 vs. PS5 for example?
