Backend updates can be done very quickly, but client updates depending on the changes that we are working on often require a bit more time, and additionally there is a submission phase that takes time. It's quite a bit of work!
A client update is when you get a patch from us that you need install. This usually contains things that we are unable to do through backend, such as doing more advanced changes like adding new functionality or rebalancing something that has dependency on other systems.
The changes that can be done through backend work is usually related to switching things on and off or changing some values related to the game such as weapon spawn rates. This is very useful when you need to make fast changes while the client update is being worked on.
Hi Bloodhunt Community! We wanted to take a moment to clarify a bit between the differences of a backend update and a client update. Backend update - These are changes that we can do behind the scenes, which does not require you to download anything.
Please keep in mind that this is a temporary change which we are able to do through backend work. We will share more details about the real changes that are coming with the next client patch as soon as we are able.
This means that shotgun spawn rates have decreased by 50% starting today. The changes apply to the pump shotgun and the double-barrel, with the spawn rate decreasing by 50% each. Let us know what you think!
Hello Bloodhunt Community! We can see that various shotgun metas are causing annoyances in Bloodhunt. While a rebalance will take a bit more work, we can, in the meanwhile, decrease the amount of shotgun spawns to reduce the chances of the offending metas playing out.
