Cutting the time it takes to open a chest in half sounds like a nice thing on paper, but it's really inconvenient in practice. Having to open a silver chest every 90 minutes can be tough for anyone with a job, at school, or who has anything at all going on in their life. This also means you'll probably lose uptime on chest openings while you're asleep since golden chests are only 4 hours.

Brawl stars uses a token doubler that will give you twice the rewards without putting in twice the playtime to get it. You can even go an entire 24 hours between logins without missing any rewards. Clash already is losing here and having to play twice as much for several days in a row isn't helping.

My solution is to let players choose what boosts they want when the new season starts. People who like it how it is can just pick all chests boosts again. Others can choose the gold boost or crown chest boost too. You could even pick multiple different boosts if you want to stack them all and get them out of the way. Anyway you do it, more flexibility would be appreciated.

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

i read the post when it first popped up yesterday. i don't have a concrete answer or solution to give however (and there are lots of valid points made in the thread already) but have fed it back to the team.
