Greetings Call of Duty: Mobile Community! Halloween is nearly here and to be honest all we want to do is talk about the fun, delightful, and appropriately themed events we have going on for this horror and treat-filled holiday. However, there is always time for a few other topics and to start off we have something very important to our community team, our Stories From Around the World video.
Throughout the year we’ve seen many posts and stories shared what Call of Duty: Mobile means to our players. It is different for everyone; for some players it is a means to relax, others a mean to connect, and for others it is a means to create something new. Whether you are a content creator, a community leader, a moderator, an Esports player, or an average player - this video is a tribute to you.

Thanks to everyone who participated in this video and thank you to the millions of players around the world from different backgrounds and cultures who are part of the CODM community. We are lucky to have a massive community full of passionate people to share the game with every single week.
Back to the update though, we have a variety of events starting today and more coming soon in early November. Get a glimpse of that all below alongside some feedback and bug reports. Let’s jump in!

Here is a quick look at all of the new events starting today and a few other new ones already running:
-
10/23 – 11/01 ~ Pumpkin Confirmed Event & Playlist (MP)
- 10/23 – 11/01 ~ Halloween Standoff Playlist (MP)
- 10/26 – 11/01 ~ Attack of the Undead Playlist (MP)
- 10/30 – 11/05 ~ Undead Fog (BR)
- 10/30 – 11/10 ~ Hardcore Collection (MP)
- 10/30 ~ Credit Store Update

- 11/02 – 11/10 ~ Secondary School (MP)
- 11/02 – 11/10 ~ 10v10 Rust Playlist (MP)
*All Dates UTC
If you are wondering what those great many MP listings are above, it is a mixture of map and mode collections representing different styles of gameplay, mechanics, or map/mode focuses. They should be pretty clear in-game, but as you can see we are clearly about to unleash quite a bit in this next week and you’ll have a wide variety of playlists and modes to explore as you push through seasonal challenges, featured events, Gunsmith challenges, or anything else you’ve been working on.
Just like last week, we have to start this week with the main attraction - our Halloween events!
Halloween Events
Over the past week you’ve been able to try out our appropriately festive Pumpkin Confirmed mode (10v10 Kill Confirmed with a Halloween twist), Halloween Standoff, and the classic Attack of the Undead mode, but those were all focused around Multiplayer and today we have something exclusive to Battle Royale. First, get a glimpse at most of our frightfully delightful Halloween modes running now!

Undead Fog
This Halloween you’ll have to keep your wits about you as you venture in Battle Royale. The dense fog has rolled through the hills, valleys, and docks of Isolated, and made it ways through the abandoned prison grounds of Alcatraz island and just for one day!
You may find it a bit hard to see through the shifting fog and that long-range weapons are now only useful to those with the unique skills to quick scope, but visibility isn’t your only concern: the fog holds something vicious, murderous, and no longer of the living.

That’s right, zombies are here to make your Battle Royale matches a little bit more nightmarish in the best of ways. You’ll have contend with the undead as you fight for dominance and of course you may be rewarded with loot as you dispatch them. Additionally, there are delightful mystery boxes scattered throughout the map holding a variety of high rarity treats, like weapons or items.
This is a featured event that comes with a variety of Halloween themed rewards. Most of them are Battle Royale skins themed to the holiday, but the most unique item to snag is an Epic calling card - Devil’s Horns. Play the Battle Royale, take out zombies, and you’ll find yourself collecting these rewards.
The zombies will be around throughout the whole event length, but the fog itself is an experience only available on Halloween Day (October 31st UTC). If you venture out on Halloween, watch out for shapes moving throughout the dense fog and make sure to have your sound on in case something unnatural emerges unexpectantly on your flank. Best of luck to all of you zombie slayers out there!
Other Modes & Events
Just like we mentioned above, there are a variety of other modes or maps still live right now that are themed to Halloween as well. We don’t want to reiterate all of that information from last week, but just a reminder that there is a Pumpkin Confirmed event running as well right now.
Make sure to complete that and grab the rewards before it ends on November 1st (UTC). That one is focused entirely around collecting pumpkins (dog tags) and playing on the Halloween Standoff map through that playlist. The main rewards are to snag are:
- (Epic) Charm - Pumpkin Smile
- (Rare) Weapon - DL Q33 - Jack O' Lantern
- (Rare) Weapon - MSMC - Jack O' Lantern
- (Rare) Sticker – Deadlocks

World Championship 2020 Playoffs – North America
This last weekend we rounded off our World Championship Regional Playoffs with North America. Many brave teams fought hard to make it to this stage to the tournament. The dedication, training, and teamwork required to make it the regional playoffs is worth praise and respect. However, only one time could rise to the top – Tribe Gaming!

Congratulations to Tribe Gaming for battling just about every single team in the NA brackets. They were dropped into the loser bracket early on and then fought all the way back up to the top to become the champions of North America!
Check out those final exciting moments of their last match against XSET Gaming as both our host Maven and the Tribe team can be heard celebrating that hard-fought win.

Credit Store Update (Community Weapon)
It is finally time! The second credit store update of this Anniversary Season is here and that means so is the Man-O-War – Cardinal, the weapon the community voted on. This epic weapon blueprint is available for just 10K credits, half of the normal price, but it will only be available in the credit store until 11/10.
Of course, there are a variety of other items available in this credit store update as well and they are not available only for a limited time like the Man-O-War. Here is the full list for this update:
- (Uncommon) Parachute – Eagle Feather
- (Uncommon) Wingsuit – Eagle Feather
- (Rare) Special Ops 2 – Copilot
- Battle Royale Class – Smoke Bomber
- (Epic) Calling Card – Give Wing a Chance
- (Epic) Man-O-War – Cardinal

Mythic Items
We’ve been releasing hints throughout October that something new is coming and many of you have rightly guessed (or seen in-game) that it is a new item rarity called Mythic. We’ll have a full write-up on this next week since the first Mythic item will be releasing around then, but we also plan to have some more short videos showing this off before then and we’d prefer to discuss it a little bit ahead of time since we see all of the questions about it on our social channels.
To confirm, this first Mythic item will be a weapon. It will be identical to a weapon blueprint at the surface level, but this brand-new rarity level is all about badass cosmetics. Nothing about this is meant to alter gameplay balance or make you better competitively, but it is meant to make your item look unique, just like reactive camos or death effects.
With Mythic’s we’ll be able to offer an extensive level of cosmetic customization for these select items. Here is a glimpse!

Check back in next week for a lot more on all of that and specifically plenty of details on this first Mythic item, but if you are interested keep an eye out for some upcoming social posts showing off more.
Feedback
We are seeing a lot of inquiries about future updates already, whether that is wondering what Gunsmith changes are coming, future changes around the clan system, what the next weapons, when are night maps coming, or just the common “what is the next season” type of questions. We do try to answer questions whenever we can as long as it isn’t revealing information we don’t wish to reveal for a variety of reasons, like maybe that feature isn’t ready to be shared or maybe it just isn’t being planned.
However, generally anything about the next season, outside of small details, we aren’t going to reveal ahead of time until we enter that nice little chunk of time prior to a release where we can start releasing small chunks of information. Regardless, even if we cannot answer something at the time, please feel free to always ask.
We don’t have any specific topics to bring up this time, but just ask and we’ll be keeping an eye out for anything we can discuss and share about. For all of you folks asking about Season 12 just wait a little bit longer, we are almost there 😉.
Bug Reports
Last week we released a small hotfix with some notes and also addressed a few seemingly larger, but random, bugs that have reported often in these community spaces. Please refer to that report and the Bug Reports section there for that list. However, let’s touch base on other topics.
We have seen a wide variety of different reports over the last two weeks since the Anniversary season released and we are investigating many issues currently. Here is a quick list of some of the ones we’ve been looking into over that time: issues with codes not working, out of map glitches, some potential issues with scoping in & out while using snipers, framerate issues, overheating issues, visual glitches on weapons, and general problems with performance.
Some of those issues we’ve talked about a bit before and we feel like it is worth revisiting again:
Overheating Issues (iOS)
A change we made when the update released was related to the in-game framerate (FPS) cap. We increased the FPS cap on iOS and for some devices that means they are now pushing your device, by default, too hard to the point where it may cause issues.
This can result in overheating unless you go into your settings, lower the frame rate cap, and test other graphical settings to see if any of these changes are causing overheating. Please make sure to check these settings if you are running into issues, like overheating or crashing, after this most recent update. Lastly, like everything else please do report this to our teams.
Unable to Shoot Enemy Players
We are still investigating these reports to see if they are related to some bug or desync/lag related issues. However, please keep reporting this issue and especially if you have any clips or information about how it is occurring.
For instance, if you see that it always seem to happen only when you are in TDM and on X map that would be fantastic information to know. Anything helps and the more reports we see, the more likely we’ll find that underlying factor that may be causing this to happen.
Weapons Disappeared
This one is still being investigated as well and unfortunately not with a lot of clear success so far in relation to it being tied to a clear cause or trigger. However, please note that many players have mentioned that a workaround is to perform an emote and that will refresh your HUD.
Support Options
Lastly, we have the usual message about please go to these player support areas to report bugs in general. Of course, for this update we just asked about two specific bugs and we’ll be checking community areas for information on those, but these areas below are truly the best places to go for individual bugs that may not be widespread or may just be specific to you.
- In-game support chat
- ATVI Assist Twitter: Activision Support (@ATVIAssist) / Twitter
- ATVI Assist Facebook: Activision Assist - Facebook
- Player Support Website: Contact Us
Final Notes
We are trying to keep this update relatively light after the last couple of large ones, especially with some more large ones coming up as we get closer to Season 12. However, one of the last things we’d like to share is that we have something starting soon in our social channels and it is unique to this season.
We’ve done a variety of giveaways through community or official areas before, but we’ve never had anything to giveaway that was only available through that giveaway. This time though, we have HBRa3 – Red Shock and it is only going to be acquirable through giveaways or similar events.

You’ll see that popping up in a variety of areas very soon, so be sure to jump in, participate, and get a chance to snag it while we have this short giveaway running.
Lastly, Happy Halloween everyone! We hope you enjoy everything we have created tied to this silly, ridiculous, and wonderful holiday that is all about treats, horror, for some weird reason pumpkins.
