Greetings Call of Duty: Mobile community! We are here and stoked to share that Season 5 has been announced for Call of Duty: Mobile. Launching next week on 5/31 at 5 PM PT will be Call of Duty: Mobile Season 5 – Get Wrecked! Embrace your inner anarchy to get ready for the brand-new season that brings all new content, modes, and updates. This season we are continuing our new cadence of seasonal Community Updates – one with the new season announce (this update) and one to go along with the season launch (happening next week). So just a reminder that any details missed about S5 in this update should be covered in next week’s Community Update, so stay tuned! In addition to all the modes and events listed above, this season has a ton of new content that we will cover below!
New Weapon – FFAR 1
The FFAR 1 is the latest weapon to come to Call of Duty: Mobile and is available in the Season 5 – Get Wrecked! Battle Pass at tier 21. This bullpup Assault Rifle was first seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops III and again in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The FFAR 1 will be your go-to weapon if you love frying your opponents in mid-to-close range, as this assault rifle has one of the highest fire rates among all ARs in COD:M. High fire rate also means you run out of bullets quicker, so be sure and equip an extended magazine or the Vulture perk to keep the ammo flowing.
In addition to the base version of this weapon at tier 21, an Epic version will be available in the premium Battle Pass at tier 50, and a Mythic version of the FFAR 1 will be available in a draw later in the season!
New Scorestreak – The Guardian
Available at tier 14 in the base Battle Pass of Season 5 – Get Wrecked! is the newest Scorestreak coming to Call of Duty: Mobile – The Guardian. Originally seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops II and then again in Call of Duty: Black Ops III, The Guardian combines defense and offense in one scorestreak to help you get those Ws.
Like a Sentry Gun, the Guardian can be placed in a location where it will stay for 60 seconds. Once placed, the Guardian will emit a cone of radiation that will slow enemy movement, distort their vision, and even cause some low-level damage. We recommend trying out this new scorestreak in an objective game mode like Hardpoint where you can place the Guadian on the hardpoint to help you hold it down. But this scorestreak is useful in a variety of situations too like placing it around a corner that has a high volume of enemies, or even using it to protect your back when sniping from a room. Whatever way you decide to use the Guardian we hope you all enjoy the new ways to play using this scorestreak.
New MP Map – Armada Strike
Armada Strike is cruising into Call of Duty: Mobile Season 5 – Get Wrecked! Armada Strike is the smaller version of the Armada Map, both featured in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Armada Strike takes place in the North Atlantic Ocean where opposing forces have collided, each attempting to secure a prototype submarine. This map will be playable starting 6/16 UTC so take a deep breath of salty cold ocean air, get your sea legs ready, and prepare to load in and get those Ws! For more details on the Armada Strike map, we will be featuring a full map flythrough on our social channels, so be sure and keep an eye out for that! Also, be sure and stick around for the end of the video and you might get a hint at some future content. 😉
Bugs
Timeout – earlier this week the team put out an update that should have helped fix the timeout issue for more players. However, if you are still experiencing the Timeout issue, please comment your UID and region below so the team has more information to continue to work on this issue.
Event Tab – like the Timeout issue, some updates were made earlier this week that should have helped players who were missing their events in the event tab. If you are still missing your events, please comment your UID and region below so the team can continue to investigate.
Ranked Matchmaking – we have seen reports of players having long wait times when matchmaking in ranked to end this season. The team is aware and investigating this.
Login Issues - we have seen reports of players having issues logging into COD:M using facebook. The team is aware of this issue and currently investigating.
Support Options
Even with this season winding down, please continue reporting any issues you may see in-game. We appreciate all of you who take the time to report these bugs in our Community spaces. Our teams are regularly monitoring those, so thank you to anyone who reports any issue (big or small) and helps make the game better for everyone.
