The XM4 is unlocked on the at Tier 21 on the free side of the Battle Pass.

New Free Battle Pass Weapon - XM4

New Operator Skill - Control Field

This new Operator Skill has both offensive and support capabilities all focused around healing. If you are using this skill on your enemies, it will block all types of healing skills and items. For your allies, it will enhance all healing related capabilities. Try it out yourself and unlock it via the free side of the Battle Pass at Tier 14.

New Free Battle Pass Operator Skill - Control Field

New Rewards - Secret Cache

Secret Caches arrive in Season 1 and with this system you can now earn a Mythic weapon just by playing for the first time in Call of Duty: Mobile history! This all integrates into the Challenge HQ with tasks and challenges now awarding reward fragments instead of badges.

You'll have a mixture of daily tasks and long-term challenges & tasks providing you a variety of ways to earn these fragments, which have different drop rarities based on the type and volume. Those can be used for seasonal rewards including camos and cosmetics, with the more tantalizing prizes like legendary weapons or the Mythic AK117 - Lava Remix requiring a dedicated commitment across multiple seasons.

High Value Secret Cache Rewards

Each season we'll let you know what new rewards are dropping, just like how challenges and events normally drop each season, but also keep an eye out for less frequent changes and adjustments to the high-rarity multi-season rewards. This is all brand-new, so just like with anything new please let us know your thoughts, feedback, and of course bug reports as you dive into the new system.

New Mythic Operator - Sophia

Will you choose vengeance or rise above it? Sophia - Dawn’s Renewal has arrived in resplendent glory and with two unique looks! Her base operator skin has a stealthy and stylish red and black design with her face covered in a partial mask. However, the upgraded version of Sophia brings the dawn with her through golden wings, a luminous halo, and fierce armor.

Sophia - Dawn's Renewal

Like all Mythic operators, she has a variety of other high-quality visual upgrades too. She’ll be available right after the season launch in the Dawnbringer Mythic Drop alongside the legendary weapon blueprint CBR4 - Faithful Dawn.

New Multiplayer Mode - Chase

Get ready to dodge, duck, dip, dive your way through this new mode focused around racing your opponents through an obstacle course. This course is designed with a Year of the Snake flair mixed with a virtual-theme. There will be a variety of difficulty levels to conquer and various challenges, and events, to help give you snag some rewards while playing.

Chase Mode

New Multiplayer Mode - Carnival Shootout

Enter a target shooting competition in this new 5v5 map and mode that tests your ability to hit various targets with an assortment of pistols and melee weapons that up the difficulty factor. Earn points for blasting small, medium, and large targets. Primary Weapons won’t deal damage to enemy players, but Operator Skills will.

At regular intervals, several players will be teleported to the other side, allowing them to cause havoc. Use your Melee Weapon to knock them off balance before you’re transported back to your team to continue the target shootout. Grab buffs for your Operator that appear around the map at fixed locations, such as earning a BR Class Effect, Operator Skill, or random buff like Unlimited Ammo.

New Multiplayer Mode - Tank Battleground

Enter an 8v8 slugfest in a new Ground War map where Operators battle it out in tanks. Choose from two different tanks and roll over buffs that appear in fixed locations throughout the match, providing temporary benefits to help you blast your way to victory.

Tank Battleground Mode

BR - Isolated & Krai Updates

With this update we’ve got two new updates to Battle Royale maps. First though, heads up that Krai after being the featured Battle Royale map for two seasons now is starting to enter normal mode rotations so we can start mixing in Isolated again. However, if you check the schedule at the start of this post you’ll see that the Krai playlists are still frequent throughout Season 1.

We’ve updated Krai in Season 1 with a variety of small changes and a more obvious new addition - the train. The train is now usable for transportation where you can now catch a ride from Principia to the Zoo. Of course, that also means other players will see the train moving and you’ll have to be careful to defend yourself in transit. Additionally, various missions and easter eggs on the map have been updated with new placement, bot balancing, and event flow.

Atlas Warehouses on Isolated

On Isolated, which you may have seen in our Winter Preview Video, there are now Atlas’ Warehouses to find. These locations may be defended by Stealth Choppers or other threats, but if you destroy these warehouses  you can potentially get powerful abilities to call in, like your own Stealth Chopper or a Strafing Run.

Double CP Event

From January 16 through February 19, get double the COD Points when you purchase CP from specified tiers in the store. This does not apply to all CP tiers, but each tier on sale will show a visual icon indicating it is part of this deal. There is a limit of one purchase per COD Point tier.

Double COD Points Event Starting January 16th

Heya, we haven't commented on any of those since they are all coming from leaks accounts. There are some Ranked changes and updates you'll see in the S1 patch notes next week, but it is more the normal kind and not the robust changes being shared around by leak accounts.

Hey guys, I would be thrilled if you replied but currently the Battlepass vaults have only gone back as far as "The Hunt" 2020 and I would like to know if there are any plans to add older battlepasses. I know there might be some technical difficulties in bringing the oldest Battlepasses, like the first one, back because of their entirely different reward structure, but there are still some old Battlepasses that haven't featured yet that has the more modern reward structure you can more seamlessly integrate into the vault system. Vaults are something I consistently spend my money on so I would appreciate an update on this.

Heya, we hear you on that and usually we only have info on the two closest seasons (so Season 1 and Season 2 in this case) for BP vaults and all of the ones coming are from 2023. It does seem like inevitably we should have some of those older ones coming up, just based on the odds and what we've released so far, but we'll check in with the team who works on that to see if there are any insights or news we can share about those older ones.

I hope the wings on Sophia won't be on her actual model. Or else she'll be an easy target

Kind of yes, but based on the design it should be relatively see-through in a way where it hopefully won't be a giant target marker on her. We'll have to see and adjust once it releases with people using it live.

When will the new XM4 Mythic Draw drop?

We didn't have that in the schedule yet since it is a bit far away, but it is in the Mystic Jade Mythic Drop. That one is releasing on January 31st (UTC).

"With the more tantalizing prices like the legendary weapons or mythic ak117 - lava remix, requiring a dedicated commitment across multiple seasons."

What do you mean by "or", do players have to choose between cr 57 amax, baton or ak117 mythic or we getting both legendary weapons and mythic.

How do balance changes taken into account, for example tec 9 was good in BR and a decent smg in MP, the nerf to it in MP wasn't that necessary, while guns like uss9 which has range like LMG and fast movement and easy handling gets no nerf and takes too much time.

Hey, we should have some posts getting into that a bit more, but the system is all based around completing tasks, which could be something like a daily login or something more complicated like complete X number of matches in this playlist with this weapon type, and then receiving caches that contain a variety of different fragment amounts. So you could open a cache and get fragments for one of the legendary weapons, or the Mythic, but it is all a bit randomized based on the number of fragments & type.

We aren't sure what you mean about balance changes those since those would remain the same as they are for that weapon type in general, so the Mythic AK117 will still have the balance adjustments it has for BR and MP.

Secret caches is available at update launch, right?

Yeah it should be, but we'll double check in case it is one of those situations where it is technically 24 hours after launch.

Hi and happy new year!

Have you thought about introducing a new MP loadout background? BR has had two different loadout backgrounds, yet MP has been using Firing Range since nearly the game's inception.

Heya, happy new year! Yeah we have seen this request a few times over the last couple of months and have shared it back with the team to see if there are any plans, but unfortunately there hasn't been any news to share back. We'll be sure to call that out in one of these updates if we get any info though

Wait a minute the new Operator Skill model class is the G-Strike from Origins and it should in zombies too btw.

The model does look pretty similar, but the effects are wildly different compared to that version from zombies.

Could you please add meltdown back to SnD? Would the free mythic and legendary skins from the secret cashes require long (multi-season) grinds and will they replace the elite missions we've got in the game?

Hey there, no news about Meltdown but for the Secret Cache legendaries and the Mythic - yes they do require dedication over multiple seasons. We aren't sure if they replace Elite Missions off the top of our head, but it does fuse into that same area with Challenge HQ and replaces some old event structures.

Hey, thanks and yes that does look to be true based on the patch notes:
- "Basic hip-fire bullet spread: Increased [BR only]"

We don't have any info about the full auto repeater attachment though.

Hey CoD mobile are there plans to add any exotic guns and maps or attachments this year that are added and were unexpected by the community. Like things we don’t see from the usual MW19, Cold War, BO3/4 and Vanguard stuff. A brand new Black Ops 2 season would be delicious since it’s 2025, Infinite Warfare stuff would be as well😋

Heya, are you talking about in the coming year or what was released in 2024? For 2025 we can't talk about any of the potential seasons, maps, or new content this far out, but as you've probably seen there are a great many possibilities for which COD titles we can pull from, so it is certainly possible. We'll have to wait closer to a new season or release though to confirm anything though.

u/CoD_Mobile_Official Dream Aurora camo will be available for new guns in future? Like Red sprite it's coming, it would be great seeing aurora camo for USS9 etc

Hey there, we saw some questions about this when we released that event and the current plan is to only have it for the weapons that were out prior to that season. However, once enough time has passed, and if there is interest, we could potentially bring it back for newer and future weapons.

Thanks for the update on the caches, excited about it and major update.

The balance change question was about how the guns are chosen to be balanced, the overpowered guns like bp50 takes 3 to 4 seasons to get toned down but guns that get no play get some miniscule changes which doesn't impact much considering people will obviously be reliant on the overpowered weapons.

While we don't know exactly how the team selects what is or isn't balanced, most of it is tied to in-game statistics around how those weapons are performing in various modes and if the team sees something consistently picked or not used over a long period of time.

Of course we share back balance feedback from the community too, which can influence it, but it would have to be paired with in-game data that supports that feedback in some way. Essentially, the in-game data for how it is used is king and the timing on when something is balanced could vary greatly depending on usage data, if that weapon is new or old, and if we have events or anything tied to that weapon.

So any confirmation if the upgrades for ak117 lava are going to be free too or paid??

Not yet, but we are checking on that just to be sure. However, it is safe to assume by default that the upgrades are following the normal process of using Mythic Cards.

Hello, is there a chance to the 1st two BPs of 2019 coming in the vault at some point??

Hey there, those ones are tricky since it was an entirely different system back then. It seems unlikely that any from the first year will return via the vault, but we are still trying to see if it is possible for any and all of the battle passes.

Another brief question, which old Mythic Weapons will rerun in S1 2025? Do you have any information if the “MG42 - The Campaign” Mythic Weapon will return any sooner?

Heya, the only Mythic weapons we see returning in S1 is through that Flaming Lotus Mythic Drop (Mythic DL Q33 - Lotus Flames) and Hollow Flight Mythic Drop (Mythic CX-9 - Lethal Hollow). We don't see any info about that specific one for the MG42 and the related Eternal Honor drop. At least not in the near future.

That's essentially how it works if you pick between the upgraded and base version.

Hey guys! I have a question about secret caches mythic reward. Will it get changed after every season or will it remain?

Heya, it will change but not seasonally. It's more of a long-term system and we haven't decided exactly how often rewards will switch out, which will likely happen at different frequencies depending on the reward type. For example, the Mythic AK takes quite a while to earn and as a result we probably won't change that out for many seasons.

it would be "angel of justice came for execution" vibe and goes very well with the wings. also it won't be the first time a sophia skin has a unique cosmetics that covers the eye. it adds more beauty to skin, specifically since none of her skills are often used (tec9 and airborne) it makes the skin more appealing.

Hey, good question and we've seen quite a few others ask the same thing about whether or not that can be adjusted, hidden, or modified. We'll try to circle back with an answer on that next week for that launch community update.

Hey u/COD_Mobile_Official , this is a copy of what I posted in a previous thread in can you didn't see it. Can you add the feature of being able to drag our finger from ADS button to Fire button? This would then result in firing while also being ADS while we hold down the original drag press.

In the game there is the feature where if you drag from crouch (or slide) to ADS button, you will crouch (or slide) and then immediately ADS. If you use Hold to Ads settings, you will be in ADS as long as you hold the original drag press. I would like this to be in the game but for ADS to Fire.

The reason is that a lot of pros use 5 finger HUD. I have tried it and it does level up my game but haven't found a layout that is comfortable. However I have a very comfortable 4 finger HUD that I have been using. With the suggestions above, I will be able to play on the level of 5 finger HUD but with a comfortable 4 finger HUD.

Thanks in advance 🙌.

Heya, just commenting to say we see this and don't have a good response at the moment since it is a bit of a major settings change. Your reasoning makes sense though on why it would be useful, but it is probably something that would require quite a few people requesting it to make it clear it is worth implementing. However, we'll check and see if there is anything like this already being considered.
