Greetings Call of Duty: Mobile Community! We are back today at the tail end of Season 10: Shadows Return with one last community update before we enter the final season of 2021. You can expect the final batch of events, playlists, and “last chance” options to all be available now for S10. However, if you are looking for something new we shared our very first glimpse at the newest MP map coming to Season 11 earlier today. Have a good look through that blizzard:
We’ll have more glimpses of new maps, weapons, operators, items, and more releasing every single day and up until the release mid-next week! First though, we had tiny little event going on last weekend called The Western Finals of The World Championship 2021 (Presented by Sony)! Hopefully you caught some of that action alongside millions of other viewers from around the world, but if not, we have a new Top 5 Plays video for you:
A massive and heartfelt congrats to all teams to made it to the finals and to Tribe Gaming for bringing in the win! Next up, The Eastern Finals. The first day of this exciting and tense competitive event begins soon (in about a hour) at 15:00 JST on 12/11 and 12/12. The event will be packed with hours of competitive gameplay and of course many stellar casters to help call the action!
Live at 15:00 JST on the Esports YouTube Channel
Since these events take place in various parts of the world we have many different streams to provide you sub-title options, like Hindi or Japanese. We hope everyone enjoys and best of luck to all participating teams! You can find the streams all setup and ready to go on our Call of Duty: Mobile Esports YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2WMdmYS1dclOCiJjyyW7_w
Lastly, just a heads up that you can tune into the World Championship in-game as well via the main lobby screen (check up at the top near announcements). Now, let’s jump into the rest of this community update to talk over events, recaps, and of course that last batch of new content to drop for the season!
Here is a quick look at all of the newest events and others launching throughout the week:
- 12/10 – 12/30 ~ Techno-Aim Draw
- 12/10 – 12/16 ~ Attack of the Undead 20 (MP)
- 12/10 – 12/16 ~ Hardcore Hold (MP)
- 12/10 – 12/16 ~ Gun Game Mosh Pit (MP)
- 12/10 – 12/16 ~ Hovec Sawmill 24/7 (MP)
- 12/10 – 12/16 ~ BR Alcatraz
- 12/10 – 12/16 ~ One Last Farewell Event
*All Dates UTC
There is definitely no way the new season starts just after 12/16 😉, but in other news Alcatraz is back once again and available for a limited time! With Blackout and Isolated that space has been a bit crowded, so it makes it tougher to keep all three of them available without negatively impacting your matchmaking experience, but our teams are still testing, adjusting, and working to get the right balance. Next up, we have a rare occurrence – behind the scenes content!
Season 10 – Theme Music Behind The Scenes
Every other season lately we’ve been able to create behind the scenes footage, thanks to Timi Studios Audio Team, and this season we are honored to be able to share another glimpse at how our wonderful theme music is composed. This is the last of these videos for 2021 and we just wanted to first say thank you to everyone for the continual love, interest, and support for all things related to CODM music!
As you’ll hear in the video below, Season 10 first started with a theme around the ‘anti-hero’. Of course the was tied to Templar in the end, but the musicians often have to start conceptualizing just based on loose ideas, themes, and designs. Our teams work with them throughout to help make sure that music ends up syncing with the comics and the Season’s narrative.
Thankfully, we work with many different professionals and they are able to explain, illustrate, and bring to life these ideas. Take a look at the Season 10: Shadows Return Behind The Scenes music video below and get some proper insights into how this stellar track was created:

Seasonal Challenges Recap
There have been six different Seasonal Challenges release through Season 10 and if you complete them all you’ll find yourself with nearly 100,000 Battle Pass XP on top of a variety of new camos, weapon blueprints, and new items! There are some standouts from the pack though, so make sure to check these out and complete them before the season ends next week.
Ya Shoot, Ya Score
This seven-part seasonal challenge was one of the most recent ones to release and as a result it has some tasks focused around using new weapons, like the SVD sniper rifle! If you complete all of those Multiplayer focused tasks you can earn an Epic weapon blueprint, up to 13,000 Battle Pass XP, and the following rewards:
- (Uncommon) Knife – Shaded Weaponry
- (Rare) Rytec AMR – Green Marble
- (Rare) Charm – Loyal Boy
- (Epic) M13 – Darkwing
CBR4 Supremacy
This seven-part seasonal challenge is the main way to acquire the new CBR4 SMG. If you haven’t seen this challenge in-game yet, we’ll just quickly say it is all about showing your skill and excellence with SMGs in MP matches. Completing all of these tasks will earn you up to 13,000 Battle Pass XP and the following rewards:
- (Uncommon) Cordite – Shaded Weaponry
- (Rare) J358 – Green Marble
- (Rare) M21 – Green Marble
- (Rare) Sticker – Head Case
- New Weapon – CBR4 SMG
Hand to Hand Combat
This six-part seasonal challenge is also focused on Multiplayer and showing your skills while using perks and melee weapons in matches. This one is all about showing a general aptitude for MP while also giving you an excuse to immediately try out the new Nunchuks melee weapon! Completing all of these tasks will earn you up to 12, 000 Battle Pass XP and the following rewards:
- (Uncommon) GKS – Shaded Weaponry
- (Uncommon) Backpack – Shaded Weaponry
- (Rare) Calling Card – Cold-Blood Brothers
- New Melee Weapon – Nunchuks
Speaking of hand-to-hand combat, there are a lot of melee weapons available to be earned or acquired this season. So, to help celebrate and highlight those we made a new video focused all on the various melee weapons, specifically the Nunchuks, Prizefighters, Baseball Bat, Karambit, and Axe. Check it out and let us know if you have any favorite new melee weapons or camos from this season:
First Female Legendary – Outrider - Techborn
Throughout the years of Call of Duty: Mobile we’ve had a variety of high quality and unique legendary operators, like the menacing Nikto – Dark Side, the well-equipped Ghost – Retribution, and the determined and vicious Mace – Final Guard. This week, we are thrilled to add one more to that line of legendary operators with our first female legendary operator, and with none other than the fan-favorite Outrider!
She is fueled by a desire to safeguard her friends, allies, and squad, and to track down anyone who dares to threaten them. She’s equipped with various high-tech gadgets that help her be an efficient, precise, and feared operative. Like all legendary operators, she has unique cosmetics, like a kill tracker, lobby screen, BR death box, BR jump pose, and a special Sparrow camo.
You can find Outrider – Techborn in-game now, in the store, as a part of the Techno-Aim Draw and alongside various other high-tech gadgetry, blueprints, or camos, like the first legendary crossbow. Take a look at Outrider in action in our latest trailer:
We are continually privileged to be able to work with such fantastic creative teams who make these images and videos to help highlight new operators like this. However, we’ve realized we don’t give you a lot of ways to use those images yourself, whether it is for a desktop background or just to show your love of this operator. So! We’ve got some hook-ups for you:
- Outrider Gifs & Clips: https://giphy.com/callofduty-mobile/seasonal-highlights
- Outrider High-Res Images: https://imgur.com/a/DtIZKAT
Enjoy and let us know if you’d like more of that type of thing in the future! If so, we can work with the team to try to also grab some 9x16 cuts (sized for phones) to provide some mobile centric background options. Enjoy the new draw and keep an eye out for the next legendary operator to drop in S11!
Undead Siege
Just another quick note to share a tiny bit more about what to expect from this next Undead Siege update in Season 11. First, like we said last week this update is aimed more at you veteran players who thought hard mode was too easy once you figured some powerful strategies.
We’ll also have new rewards coming, which will be available for all types of Undead Siege players (casual and hardcore). You’ll be able to find a variety of details about this early next week once we announce Season 11 through social media and our Call of Duty: Mobile blog. Almost there!
S10 Bugs & Feedback Recap
Throughout the season we’ve seen a variety of different topics and bugs to chase down. It is often hard to keep you all aware of what we are actively working on, looking at it, or considering, but that’s one of our weekly goals with these community updates – to keep you all informed. With this update, we’ll try to recap the major feedback and bugs we’ve seen throughout this season.
Bugs – Under Investigation
- Nyx VO issue – Incorrect VO is being used in non-intense situations
- Hovec Sawmill Map Exploit – We are investigating this exploit. Please do not share examples of how this is done since it only encourages other to use it. Feel free to report anyone using this exploit and depending on the severity we may take enforcement action.
- Controller Issues – We’ve put out a fix for this earlier in the season but we are continuing to investigate issues, particularly on Android devices, with controllers not functioning.
- Purely Disheveled Crate – We identified an issue with this offer and are working on sending out a fix to all affected players.
- FPS Drops in BR Warfare – Due to the large player count in this mode there are often issues on lower end devices with it not running as well, but they seem exacerbated this season and we are investigating the issue to see what can be done to help improve performance.
- Some Mythic Weapons Not Appearing in BR – This one we’ve seen sporadic reports of for different weapons and some we’ve been able to replicate and fix, while other seem like they might be tied to resources not being downloaded. Please keep reporting these if you see it.
- Legendary ORV Missing Unique Engine Sounds – We are investigating this issue and thanks for the reports, and videos clearly showing the issue.
- Unable to Inspect Certain Weapons – We noticed this with the Malpractice Knife in particular but are still looking for other examples of any issues with this new weapon inspection feature.
- Loadout Gun Names Restricted – We are investigating issues with certain seemingly benign names being restricted for loadouts. These may be overly cautious on purpose, but we’ll see**.**
- Effects Carrying Over into MVP Screen – We saw one spectacular example of this earlier in the season with someone being molotov’d right before the end of the match and then you could see them on fire during the MVP screen. However, despite our best efforts we could not reproduce this issue. If you run into this please report it so we can try again with new details!
- General Lag & Disconnect Issues – We’ve seen various reports of different issues with this throughout the season, like one day a spike in Ranked Mode disconnects. While we don’t have any clear “fixes” for this that we can immediately reference, our teams are always monitoring network and server stability for these types of hiccups.
Bugs – Fixed
- Nomad Artisan Skin Graphical Issue – We checked into this and it should be fixed. Thanks for the reports!
- Ghost Character Bio – Incorrect bio was reported and fixed.
- Medium Graphic Options Disappeared – We checked into and fixed this issue if this was new to you as of Season 10 and you used to be able to use this graphical option.
- Mythic Nautilus Reactive Effects MIA – The special effects of this weapon mysteriously disappeared in Season 10 and thanks to your reports we were able to quickly fix it!
One last call-out for the bug section, but we are hoping to clear out all of the sporadic voice over related issues for different operators. So, if you still see any issues with an operator missing VO completely or using the default VO instead of unique VO (when they originally had unique VO), then please respond to this stickied thread below with some basic info. Thank you all!
Feedback
Some of the most regular feedback we’ve seen throughout this season has been about the balance of various things, like Persistence, melee weapons, the Type 25, or the Holger. At this moment we don’t have any notes or updates to share about those, but that’s something to keep an eye out for with the new season as we often roll out balance changes or updates alongside the season release.
However, our next major update will be coming in January and that one is most likely to be filled with improvements, bug fixes, optimizations, and balance changes. We’ll try our best to share back details and information in advance of that, but for this next release we can say that most of the balance changes in S11 are for the CBR4 and Kilo Bolt-Action.
Support Options
A new season will be here next time we chat, so just a reminder that if you need any assistance please use the following options below to get assistance with any type of issue. While we regularly look at the community and report bugs that way, there is still a whole team of support agents waiting to help out! The main two official options are below:
- In-game support chat
- Player Support Website: Contact Us
You made it to the end of this community and to latest community highlight! This time around, we want to first say in advance please be warned this video we are sharing has a lot of flashing and quick scene changes.
This week's community highlight is from user un_belli_vable, who edited together the background lobbies of seven different seasons without any UI being shown. Might sound simple, the result is fantastic and quickly shows the variance of designs and themes across 2021. Our tema loved it and we hope you all do to! Check it out:

Thanks for that fantastic piece of community content and thank you all for the non-stop flow of memes, art, feedback, designs, and creations like the above!
