I reinstalled Conan Exiles again in hopes that the nasty frame drop issues I was experiencing several months ago (around 6 maybe) would be fixed. Well my hopes were crushed. The problem that I am having is whenever I go into a "sheltered" area or any shaded area for that matter (also need to mention night time is an absolute nightmare) I get choppy audio and annoying frame drops. The only thing that partially fixes this problem for me is trying to turn off the shadows completely along with using the admin panel and setting it back to day time when night approaches. I've looked at guides which are probably outdated that suggest going into the game's files and adjusting the shadows to 0.

I've been reading reports from people with high end rigs having the same issue so I've ruled out that my parts aren't the problem. Because, 1: they meet the requirements. 2: I'm able to play other games just fine early access and aesthetically pleasing games too. (Examples: Ark: Survival Evolved, Destiny 2, Far Cry 5) Games I would consider to be mildly taxing but, I'm able to adjust the settings and enjoy playing those games.

-Has anyone found a solution to what I am experiencing?

-Does anyone have something I can copy and paste into the game file to optimize the shadows and the game itself?

-Is going into the game files actually going to fix anything at all?

-Should I just yell at them and tell them to give me my money back? Even though it probably won't work. XD (that's just laughs)

Thanks everyone, I hope I can either keep searching and find a solution or someone from here can help!
