@Marshall42088 Hello Marshall! This is a known issue on the console edition. A temporary community fix is to hold your joystick or D-pad in the right position while simultaneously hitting RT+LT until you can choose the higher authority. Sorry for the frustration, we hope that helps for now.

After Sancho's assassination, Urraca summoned his nobles so they could acknowledge Alfonso as heir to Castile & León. However suspicion remained, and they forced him to swear his innocence in front of St. Gadea's Church.
