Is Vermintide 2 worth buying on Steam for offline play?

I've always been interested in Vermintide (setting, style and combat mechanics), and seeing that it's on discount on Steam now, I'm considering getting it.

However, I'm currently living in a location with very poor and sometimes nonexistent internet connection, so online play is out of the question for the next few months. So I have a few questions:

1. Is it possible to play the game in offline mode on PC, without having an internet connection at all? If it's possible, is offline/solo play worth it? If not, are there maybe mods that enable offline play?
2. Is there any estimated timeline for server support? E.g. are the game servers going to be supported for the next year, 5 years, 10 years, ...?
