Hey, everyone!

I just attempted to go to the forums and was met with a screen telling me that my account wasn't verified. I tried to click the link to resend my verification email, but then I was met with another screen that said a verification email couldn't be sent.

I just sent an email to what I assume are the developers per the instructions on the second screen, but wanted to know if anyone else here has had that problem. If so, did you eventually get your verification email?

Along with that:

  • Has there been any word on whether our accounts need to be verified to gain access to the Alpha?
  • Do accounts get deleted if they have not been verified within a certain time frame after account creation?

Edit: I managed to fix it! Performing the following steps made everything work

  1. Sign out
  2. Attempt to sign in
  3. Click the hyperlink to reset your password
  4. Open the email received about resetting your password
  5. Click the link
  6. Reset your password
  7. Sign in

You should then be able to visit the forums, which I think means your account is verified!

Hi friends - I wanted to share some helpful steps for anyone running into trouble confirming their account. Most often this is caused by add-ons, extensions, or anti-virus interfering with your browser.

  1. Try a different browser such as Chrome or Firefox. If you are already using Chrome, try using an incognito window.
  2. Try temporarily disabling anti-virus software.
  3. Clear your browser cache and history.

Once you've done that, trigger a fresh password reset.

  1. Delete any copies of password reset emails you already have from us.
  2. Head to https://playdauntless.com/accounts/ and click on the Log In tab. Then click reset password, and enter your email address.

You should receive a password reset from us, if you don't chances are your inbox is filtering them out. Make sure to double check Spam or Junk as well. If you still don't see it, you may have mis-typed your email when you triggered the password reset, or when you originally signed up for an account. (Don't worry we can fix that too).

Reset your password using your fresh password reset link in your email, note this link is only active for 2 hours, so you'll need to do it right after receiving the email.

If after following these steps you are still receiving errors, please send us a log from your browser to [email protected] - On Chrome, open a browser and type this into the address bar: Chrome: chrome://system/ then hit "Expand All" at the top. Copy paste this page into your email to us. - On Firefox, open a browser and type this into the address bar: about:support then copy paste the information on this page into your email to us.
