What's New
Twitter Sidebar
We believe that communication between the devs and the community is of utmost importance. And in our attempt to do so, we introduced the Community Highlights back in September of last year. Over the months, we've noticed that it ended up being almost like a carbon copy of Dauntless' Twitter account as where we get most of our news from. Eventually, we weren't able to maintain it properly and was eventually left to collect dust, cache if you will.
Here comes Twitter Sidebar. Why manually copy-paste Twitter posts to Reddit when we can just bring Twitter here! The new Twitter sidebar will keep you up to date with news directly coming from the Dauntless Twitter account. The tweets it display are up to date meaning it works in real time, so as soon as a new tweet is out it will automatically update itself. This new widget is designed to adapt to both of Reddit's light mode and dark mode UI. Special thanks to u/chaos_a for providing us the means to achieve this. 😄👍

Discord Widget
A couple months ago, we wanted to help promote all of the Dauntless' channels and we did so by making use of our Image boxes. We noticed that some of the you still miss out on noticing the Discord image most likely because Reddit randomizes which image to display. And so, people would still end up making posts asking for an invite to the Discord server. Today, we're adding a personalized widget that would hopefully catch more attention and easily lead players directly to the Discord server without hassle.
Quick Announcement
Recently, the devs have graciously given us more creative control over the subreddit and what this means is that we've been granted permission to do more stuff that we weren't able to do in the past. Stuff like having player guide, themed threads, and updating the subreddit rules are among the few things that we weren't able to do prior. We believe that these could help inform and educate players, spark more productive discussions, and improve everyone's overall experience in the subreddit.
I'm sure some of you may have noticed our attempt at encouraging more productive discussions in the form of our Focused Feedback and the Live Megathread posts. This April, we will be focusing on doing a lot more of these themed threads, so expect to see more in the coming weeks. We're also welcoming feedback and suggestions for this which you may do so in the comments below. 🙂
Our recent Focused Feedback and Live Megathread which were received well.
Some may have also noticed our new and improved Menu links is currently under construction. It's going to take quite some time to complete this one as this will require involvement from both us mods and you the community. More info will be given later on how you could contribute to the cause. ✌

One Last Thing
We've added a bunch of new user flairs! Go and try them out. 😃
This is all in an effort to make r/dauntless a better place to hang out with everyone.
