When they were forcing these changes on us they were all about transparency but when their true colors showed with this mess of an update they're awfully quiet. It's like they knew gutting all progression, removing solo play, forcing people to play the game a certain way would get backlash. Throw a glider on it with buggy vents to sugar coat it?

I might be wrong on this one but in my head progression is setting steps forwards, aka gaining power by leveling. This current system is pushing you back 100 steps while gaining a tenth of a step as progression. How is this a valid reason to progress? Adding unnecessary currency while removing existing ones seemed off too. There's so much off about this update, I don't know how this was actually considered as a good change for the game. (especially not for veterans, you know the players that helped dauntless grow, supported this team)

For me I completed the game when I had all weapons lvl 20, max slayer/behemoth level. I would actually feel a sense of accomplishment. Now? Oh I have to start in the tutorial zones because my weapon reset so I could get 1% ms.

Stop making Dauntless a social experience continue making a hunter game. This post is so long and i didn't even get to the P2W features they introduced along with the years and years of playing everyday to get everything maxed out this game has turned into a real job, which is everything I don't want from a game.

What happened to casually slaying and having fun?
Dauntless 24 hours ago: I need some frost orbs, I'll turn on my patrol chests and a few frost patrols by myself

Dauntless now:

If you kill x behemeth you have a x% change to gain aethercrap which u can use to get aetherothercrap while also having a x% chance to gain a patrol key to open a patrol chest on the map that you have to find while fighting other behemeths with random players that make the hunt almost twice as long, all to reset all your power on you weapon so you can gain 1% ms and do it all over again.

Still waiting for an inventory so I could actually SEE all that I have collected over the years, the parts, the patrol chests i have left, orbs.

Right now they're gathering feedback (e.g., reddit) and metrics (e.g., player engagement). Other than bug-fixing and variations on "we're listening," they're not going to say anything of note until there's non-trivial data to be acted on. And any substantial planned revisions will require meetings with engineering leads before announcing a direction or plan.

Wow, you actually hit the nail on the head here. We're collecting A LOT.

There has been a ton of feedback coming in, and we are reading, collecting, and absorbing all of it.

There are a lot of feelings towards this patch, and some things we got wrong.

We aren't falling silent, we are doing our due diligence and forming a plan. For example we are working on a plan for next steps to help the progression migration feel better, but we need to have those next steps finalized before sharing them.

We hear you. <3

What pisses me off is how the thing you said is so obvious yet people seem to not understand this and still have hope that Phnx Labs will fix this crap of an update.

If only I could get my money back, holy shit with 100 euros you can offer a good meal to your gf 3-5 times instead of investing on a company that sold itself to a chinese mobile gaming milking machine, because its people had 0 passion and vision for this game.

Now that this update is out our main focus is community feedback and making Dauntless the best it can be.

I understand you are upset, but please remember that every single person working on this game has passion and cares deeply.
