[2019] Epic customer service won’t refund Timely Arrival Pack that I never received. Being rude and dismissive on e-mail contact. Not even bothering to answer my questions and sending me to a website that has little to no help.

So, I recently started playing Dauntless. I decided to pay £3.99 for the Timely Arrival Pack from the epic store. After an hour it did not arrive. I reloaded, relogged, signed in and out, reinstalled the gams, tried both on Xbox and PlayStation and nada. My brother bought it same time as me and had zero issues.

I must say the name is rather ironic.

On the invoice they sent me there was this information:

“EU residents have a right at law to withdraw from a purchase of digital content, without giving any reason, for a period of 14 days after that purchase. However, you have expressly consented to waive your right to withdraw from this purchase and acknowledged that by giving this consent you will lose this right after downloading the software and playing for 2 hours.”

So, disappointed, I requested the refund so they would have no excuse with the 2 hours window.

Because I was eager to play with my brother, I ended up buying the Timely Arrival Pack, again, from the Xbox Store, and it worked right away. Slightly, more expensive, £4.20 but who cares.

Epic replies that they won’t refund this starter pack. And he doesn’t seem to understand I bought the pack twice. I tried to explain and he is having none of if it. Ignoring my queries. I ask for help and he becomes rude which turns me into a rude idiot. He redirects me to a link that is irrelevant. Tells me to go and get the missing items... I try to explain myself but he refuses that and here I am.

I know it’s just £3.99 but I feel robbed.

I can afford it but it’s about the principle.

I deeply regret playing this game because this is one of the worse customer service experiences I ever had and all because of four quid.

This was my first digital purchase ever and surely will be the last.
