Hey everyone. Yes! I’ve written an updated Main Theme for Dauntless. It retains the melody we’ve all come to know, but injects about 100lbs of pure adrenaline into it now 🤜💥. Dauntless has evolved over the years and it felt right to freshen up the theme too. I’m confident you’ll all love it!
How much does this event really cost? They already had to pay a guy to add to the OST, all they need from there are the PR managers to write up one webpage and accept a bunch of video files, and for the community to do stuff for free. Hell, I'm confident that this event serves no purpose beyond saving PL money so they don't have to buy a professional chorus to chant.
And time is another resource. This doesn't really take away from the time needed to design, program, or playtest new features or fixes, so that again cuts down on the cost PL needs to pay to make this happen.
We've already recorded our profressional choir, so this isn't to save us any money.
The purpose of this was to do something interesting and actually get our player voices into the game. We just think it's neat.
The layering will be handled by our composer, and they have the bandwidth to do this. The actual work and time here is pretty minimal and it's just for fun.
I’ll likely be making a submission. I used to do yells and screams for a living so this is right up my alley. I got my shure sm7b and camera ready to go lol

One quick question, do we need to go longer than 20 seconds or is that all that is expected and desired? It seems like we are supposed to just do the same length as the video clip provided but I thought I’d ask to be safe anyway.
If you can do it for the same length of time as the video that would be awesome!
Curious if this contest had any winners? Never received any messages wether the submission made it in or otherwise. Talking to others none of us ever heard back. Was there not enough participants with usable takes or what? I’m kinda sad I took the time to do this and didn’t even get an automated thanks for participating message :/
