seriously, i dont think that this is just a case of "ah, my luck is gone". i really think you can only earn a particular amount per day. after resets i get silver star drops and later i will stop earning them. it feels like you got lucky at the start of the day but soon lose all chances of them dropping later into your runs.
anyone else? am i just compensating for an extreme case of bad luck?
