Personally I'm a big fan of exotics. I know a lot of them aren't normally best in slot, but when playing for fun and with friends there's a lot to be said about the cool factor of turning into a shadow spirit murder machine. However I currently think most of these exotics are in a worse place than ever before, for one simple reason. Escalation.

Several Exotics and a few cells have abilities that activate only on your "first death" in a hunt. And while this used to be reasonable and make sense, back when when a hunt was always against a single behemoth, this makes them beyond useless in escalation. Tragic Echo for example goes from being a cool damage buff you get once per behemoth hunt... to a buff you get once over the course of an entire Escalation. I believe Nine Lives now suffers from the same problem, changing from a cell that was arguably okay (though other defensive options were better imo) to a cell that has hugely diminished use in escalation.

Can we please let first death abilities such as these either reset on Behemoth kill, same as Legendary Weapon abilities, or alternatively make them work once per round/area in escalation?
