[2022] Hey! Can anyone tell me about this game?

I don’t actually play dauntless. But I’ve been looking for a new game and everything I’ve read about this one seems like fun! I have a few questions:

Is there blood/gore? Can you turn it off?

Is there chat and can you also turn that off?

Can you play with friends or random players?

And does the game still get frequent/limited updates?

Just as an additional note, not only can you play with friends, you can play cross-platform between PC (Epic), PS4, Switch, and Xbox, you can also log into any with the same character and progress.
