Okay, let's try this again again. Third time's the charm.

In case people haven't realized, there are certain weapons that can act as cell replacements. This is because, with the right talent selection, you can make them generate buffs quite reliably. I currently dubbed these; buffer weapons.

So what weapons can provide buffs quite reliably? Fury of the Mountain- Speed/Endurance/low Might

Twin Suns- Speed/low Might

Godhand - Vitality/Might/Defense/Speed

Thundersoul - Might/Speed

Firestorm - Vitality/Speed

Living Branch- Critical/Vitality

Oathkeepers - Vitality/Defense

The Anvil - Might/Defense

The Golden Claws - Speed/Defense/Endurance/Critical

So how can you make use of these effectively? You can use a combination of these to make incredible builds that have large stacks of important buffs or use one of them to buff other weapons that don't have buffs of their own. For instance, combining Godhand + Tenacious with Eternal Winter to gain 10 stacks of might for even crazier numbers on your Axe throws. And you can do that pretty much right at the start of a fight. Your Talent tree will look something like this for the Godhand to achieve that: https://dauntless-builder.com/b/Lp@0GAKszqsQ6N9Ah-SIwKpv36aK21J6y4fqEXaqzBDUt04NCWIRpMqa3o

Or use Twin Suns to gain 4 stacks of Speed by selecting the talents that allow you to drop two bombs on Lantern activation and gain 2 Speed when in the radius of the explosion. Just make sure to stand in the middle of the 2 bombs.

Or you could just use Fury of the Mountain to gain 6 stacks of Speed without much hassle with this talent tree selection: https://dauntless-builder.com/b/8b65okhLEMNNNQMKfkk2PTrajoAfbAfcNK6QuZf_8Xc0SIHwoTUXMooN

These buffer weapons remove the need for certain cells in our builds. Therefore making it easier to have more diverse builds.

Looking forward to seeing what ideas you come up with using this knowledge.

Cheers!

Enjoying seeing people start to explore the way weapons work in the build crafting process. Things like the Twin Suns ability to give you 4 speed stacks, or that Fury of the Mountain works as either a primary or secondary weapon by being a supplemental buff weapon if you don't use it as your main were some of the goals of the system changes.

I will be continuing to fix up issues that cause infinite held stacks by swapping, but there was definitely a goal to allow some weapons to fill spots in the build making process that used to be taken by cells, useful to show other players how to achieve that, and I'll keep making improvements to help better aid build making and supporting the value of your secondary weapon choice.
