You may have noticed a ton of content being added to our Development Roadmap and wondered when we were going to follow up with more information on larger features.

Many of these features are still in the early, EARLY design stages. We’re hammering out details around Cells 2.0, Player Journey Map, Trials rework, weapon reworks, etc., and these features are evolving daily. We’re so excited to share more information with you in the future.

What we can share with you now is why we’re focusing on these features.

We’ve pinpointed a handful of areas we can improve thanks to all of your feedback, and we want to share them with you here:

  • Progression
  • Power balance
  • Build variety
  • Activity variety
  • Meta variety
  • Trials variety
  • Cohesive world building and storytelling
  • Social systems

Alongside Roadmap updates, we will also be publishing more details about our goals on our blog. You can also engage with us here on Reddit and Discord.

Thank you all so much for your support and input over the years. Your passion and dedication have helped Dauntless become the game we know and love. We can’t wait to craft an even brighter future for the Shattered Isles.

Exciting things are just over the horizon, Slayers.

When news came through earlier in the year of the acquisition of PL by a company that specialises in mostly mobile games, many of us were worried about the direction the game (and PL as a whole) would go, with fears of mobile focus and anti-consumer practices. But I think it's really interesting to see the mobile version being deprioritised in this latest update.

Instead of or worst fears being realised, it seems to have avoided the worst pitfalls of excess while managing to increase the scale and scope of the game and only become more ambitious with lots of great sounding content in store. Enjoying the levels of communication and general transparency as well.

Things still aren't perfect, and there's lots of room for improvement, but it's great to see they're working toward that goal with each update. Excited to see where things go from here and hoping that both the game and the company have a long, bright future ahead of them. Keep it up, PL. Good job.

Thank you so much. It means a lot.

We have a lot of things we want to focus on at the core of Dauntless, and we still have room to improve on our transparency and communication.
