Long distance as in South of Africa long distance from the server. So before the clientside dodging update,eg. embermane was insanely easy, a fun beat up...then the update happened... now out of all the beasts, this one just messes me up. As a chains main, the 'dodge plus attack' (how you would boop as a chains player) worked before the update, now it might only work 1 out of 10 or 15 tries, so basically, 95% of the time a dodge plus attack to try and boop will just damage me and not the beast. Also the ESC shock weapon special (teleport to beast and attack), that just damages me if the beast is in attack(aka if ember is charging and i use the special, I used to boop, now I just take damage...same as Skarn when he is spinning, before I would boop him, now I just get hit if using special while he is spinning).
on "hunting grounds", the client-side. dodging is now completely messed up (worse now compared to 2 weeks ago for some reason). simply trying to dodge thru an attack is instant damage (for me not the beast), and with some reforges that means instant death...DODGING thru an attack is useless, in-fact less than useless because I know I now take damage from even trying it. I do not know but on hunting grounds, I will be fighting a beast with other people and instantly the beast and everyone else will be behind me a couple of meters (instantly teleports at random times), all beasts do it.(I do not know if this is a problem for people close to the server or everyone).
The game played far better and smoother before the client-side update, I had to compensate a bit but that didn't bother me, now there is no compensating and just frustration as I know, dodging equals damage, trying to boop is FN impossible and it just isn't fun to not be able to play like you used to and get hit by random things that used to be easy to dodge or attack.
I am not enjoying the state of play atm with dauntless, it is basically unplayable, I had reached slayer master long before the client-side dodging update and that was the good old days, fun and freedom in playing, now it just is difficult to play and constantly taking damge during perfectly timed dodges is absolute BS
I just want to add that before the update, playing shrowd was easy, could do it without taking any damage 100% of the time, it was a fun match to play but way easy...now I don't know if i will make it thru the fight.
ESC is far less irritating than hunting grounds by a long shot, with all the lag/random hits that happen, but chains are so seriously broken at the moment and have gone from the most fun weapon to play to the most bugged. CHain Blades need a massive rework and hunting grounds is like visiting the dentist...probably rather painful and not something I want to do daily if possible.
