tips for a newbie?

so, i downloaded this game for the first time last year on my PS4. i played it for a day before deciding "I dont wanna play this".

after playing through all the other games I own in my PS4 library, I decided to pick this one up again about a few days ago.

and uhh...im STILL a bit overwhelmed. there's just too many NPCs to talk to and a whole lot of stuff that its hard to separate the "free" features from the "premium" features.

so far, i've just been doing bounties and switching between weapons constantly. there isn't a single weapon i've been "maining" but so far, I like the hammer. what i've been doing is just buying every power 20 weapon from each element and each weapon, so i have a variety I guess.

i've been leveling up pretty far in the slayer's path but i should probably stop doing that because that just unlocks MORE overwhelming features, although I do want to unlock additional armor/weapons

I haven't crafted my first omni-cell yet.
