So, I just hit a terra embermane for about 9k part damage and 3k stagger damage (didn't catch core damage) - should that not count as 10k+ damage? Or does it only count core damage? Or is it bugged? I've seen two people with the helm, so I assume it's completable.
I used pangar axe (power surged, skill 20), drask lantern, inspiring and frenzy, was at level 2 axe special in escalation (I tried the mission many times but I'm thinking higher axe level and amps might be better than ~28% crit maybe?), and I ran a perfect built (cunning, pred, rage, wf, cata, disc, and KoK and sturdy because pangar axe and I don't have Urska axe yet), plus I had duelists precision from round one which I had stacked super high for a guaranteed crit. I literally killed this embermane in two grim onslaughts and one horizontal attack and that wasn't enough. I love a challenge, but this seems rather implausible. I honestly don't know how I could do higher damage. Halp pls.
