yeah absolutely um you know when we |

start working on a new chapter an |

original chapter that is of course um we |

look into space that we have not |

explored yet and where we want to go so |

either in in gameplay so some sort of |

new mechanic we want to introduce um |

something maybe uh our fan base have |
861s |
looked into and is requesting or a sub |

genre of or we have not delve into could |

be culture folklore story anything |

really can go into the creation um and I |

remember that very early when starting |
874s |
this chapter uh we had a oneliner for |

gameplay we wanted to do a killer that |

had to do with like a Survivor needs to |
882s |
look directly at that killer that was an |
884s |
important mechanic that we wanted to |
886s |
play with um and also we were looking |
888s |
into analog horror and we thought that |
890s |
this sub genre of horror was a great fit |
892s |
for that type of gaml so what about |
895s |
analog horror Drew you in what what |
897s |
connected for you with that yeah uh what |
899s |
we love about analore is how cryptic and |
902s |
strange it is um it's very occluded in |
905s |
its information um and you know |
907s |
everybody will see that truly unknown um |
911s |
it's also quite intimate in the way it |
914s |
delivers horror um you know it's all |
916s |
about you the user the viewer um looking |
920s |
directly to fear itself um in a very |
923s |
visceral way and also it's how horr is |
927s |
delivered uh it's very sustained it's |
930s |
stretched and so analog horror is really |
933s |
steeped in mood and atmosphere which is |
936s |
great but you also have to bring it to a |
938s |
video game and into gameplay so so how |
941s |
does that work uh yeah for sure so it's |
944s |
um it was a an incredible challenge uh |
946s |
for Nick and the team uh to create |
949s |
something along uh those line those |
950s |
pillars um and uh for us what was |
955s |
important is um exactly that sustained |
958s |
horror so this is something knew that we |
959s |
wanted to explore dbd we used um to the |
963s |
the trailing chase the jump scare it's |
965s |
really fast and we wanted to go more |
967s |
into perception and see how long we |
970s |
could stretch that |
972s |
horror yeah so when we uh started uh |
976s |
working on the unknown we really knew |
978s |
early on that our ideas were about |
979s |
playing with the survivors perception |
982s |
and like creating sort of intimacy |
984s |
between the unknown and the survivors to |
986s |
sort of make that dread like have like |
989s |
different levels to it we explored a lot |
991s |
of different paths before finally |
993s |
landing on uh what we did and it was the |
995s |
right balance of fun mixed with that |
997s |
really analog horror Vibe it was a |
999s |
really tough little thing to balance and |
1002s |
while a lot of stuff changed along the |
1004s |
way we still ended up with a killer that |
1006s |
really uses survivors Vision as a clear |
1009s |
gameplay element because like Dev said |
1011s |
earlier literally sometimes the only way |
1013s |
to rid yourself of the unknown is by |
1015s |
literally facing it head on sounds like |
1018s |
we're in another my therapy session but |
1020s |
let's keep it focused on the game uh so |
1023s |
obviously you're talking about the |
1024s |
unknown our new killer so what the heck |
1026s |
is the |
1027s |
unknown yeah who who knows it's it's |
1030s |
very strange a very strange creature we |
1032s |
we don't know even even us as Dev we it |
1034s |
was one of our pillar to make sure that |
1036s |
there are no truths about the unknown in |
1039s |
in the image of all the creature from |
1041s |
analog horror uh there's no definite |
1044s |
explanation and um you know we want the |
1046s |
players to do their own te craft around |
1048s |
it um what we do know is that you know |
1051s |
it still needs an appearance in the game |
1052s |
and we know that it's a hunter um and we |
1055s |
know that we wanted to have a creature |
1057s |
that mimics human to lure them but in a |
1061s |
terrible way yeah so uh for game design |
1065s |
it's usually helpful to have some truths |
1068s |
uh you know cuz things need to exist and |
1070s |
be perceived um in a way that we can all |
1072s |
agree so the unknown has a main power |
1075s |
and a secondary ability so the main |
1077s |
power is called uvx and and it stands |
1079s |
for unknown Venom X um it's essentially |
1083s |
a lob projectile it's that a trademark |
1085s |
move set that every time we say it well |
1088s |
yes if you want to do it with me at home |
1090s |
that's totally cool um and yeah so the |
1093s |
uvx is a lob projectile and it bounces |
1095s |
off surfaces you can't quite hit |
1098s |
survivors directly but after it bounces |
1100s |
the projectile then expands and any |
1103s |
survivors caught in the blast area |
1105s |
becomes infected with the weakened |
1107s |
effect so if you're hit by uvx one once |
1109s |
and you're already weakened you then |
1111s |
start becoming injured so again like the |
1113s |
first weakened is the sign of danger to |
1116s |
come um survivors can get rid of the |
1119s |
effect by looking at the killer for a |
1121s |
that amount of time uh it's really as |
1123s |
simple as that there's not a lot of |
1125s |
extra steps to it either you can run |
1127s |
away try and lose the Killer and trying |
1130s |
to find the it later to look at it or |
1132s |
you have to learn to adapt and Look |
1134s |
Backwards during a Chase that's it |
1136s |
that's all you need to do really and uh |
1138s |
for the killer the cool thing is the |
1140s |
more you infect people with weaken the |
1142s |
faster you create these things called |
1144s |
hallucinations around the map uh |
1146s |
hallucinations are copies of the |
1147s |
Killer's beautiful body and the killer |
1150s |
can teleport to them at any point so |
1153s |
okay so so players can mistake one of |
1156s |
these beautiful body hallucinations for |
1158s |
the killer itself uh which basically |
1161s |
means that the killer can be all over |
1162s |
the map at the so uh exactly so there |
1165s |
can be up to four hallucinations can |
1167s |
that can be placed anywhere around the |
1168s |
map the catch is is unlike other |
1172s |
teleporting Killers it's hard to |
1173s |
optimize exactly where to spawn them |
1176s |
while hunting down survivors uh they |
1178s |
spawn at regular intervals on a set |
1180s |
timer and when the timer is done you |
1182s |
leave them behind without interruptions |
1185s |
at the exact moment where you were so |
1187s |
it's kind of cool as well right you |
1188s |
don't really need to press any buttons |
1190s |
it just kind of happens and then the |
1192s |
unknown can teleport to any of those |
1194s |
hallucinations and travel to them very |
1197s |
quick uh in fact it's near instant |
1199s |
that's actually what was really fun is |
1201s |
because the teleport has limitations to |
1203s |
placement we could then make it |
1205s |
extremely quick and pay off and of |
1208s |
course the survivors can destroy new |
1209s |
hallucinations and limit the Killer's |
1211s |
power in that way going back to what |
1214s |
Dave said about theme starting with the |
1216s |
theme another thing that I think is |
1217s |
really cool about the way the team works |
1219s |
is the perks are not an afterthought |
1222s |
they're built with these themes in mind |
1224s |
as well and that's the case with the |
1225s |
unknown right yep the perks are |
1228s |
unbelievable um so the uh the unknown |
1231s |
has three wonderful perks so the first |
1233s |
one is Unbound and that's really about |
1236s |
like the fantasy of the monster that has |
1239s |
stocked its prey and finally sort of |
1241s |
reveals itself and gets first blood and |
1243s |
then like with that dread established |
1246s |
like uses that to get so when you uh |
1249s |
have Unbound equip you injure a Survivor |
1251s |
and then the next Vault you do is going |
1253s |
to give you uh some haste for a limited |
1254s |
amount of time to help you get that down |
1257s |
and put that Survivor on on a hook um |
1260s |
the second perk is unforeseen and that |
1262s |
really plays with the idea that um in |
1265s |
analog horror technology is unreliable |
1268s |
and like a source of misdirection um so |
1271s |
B what un 14 allows you to do is to kick |
1273s |
and damage a generator um but it |
1276s |
transfers your Terr Adas to that |
1278s |
generator and makes you undetectable for |
1280s |
a limited time so you get like the one |
1282s |
two combo of uh becoming selfie but |
1287s |
confusing survivors around what they're |
1289s |
key objectives and lastly the last perk |
1291s |
is undone it's all about the paranoia |
1294s |
and how the unknown feeds off fear um so |
1297s |
if survivors panic because they should |
1299s |
it's a very scary killer and start |
1300s |
missing skill checks the unknown turns |
1302s |
that into a resource for the perk and |
1304s |
the next time you uh regress a generator |
1307s |
it will regress it more and lock it down |
1310s |
for a set amount of time so cool and |
1313s |
should be said whoever named those |
1315s |
should get like extra bonus points |
1317s |
because the UN unun negative bonus |
1319s |
points for you for stealing my |
1321s |
unbelievable joke because I was going to |
1323s |
say that but they are unbelievable perks |
1325s |
thank you Nick um so that's the killer |

that's the unknown but we haven't even |
1330s |
mentioned the new survivor also coming |
1332s |
in the chapter Sable so why don't you |
1334s |
tell us about sable day yeah sabble uh |
1336s |
she she's cool she's great very cool |
1339s |
yeah um yeah to to talk about her um |
1342s |
concept we need to go back to Michaela |
1344s |
actually so um you know when we created |
1346s |
Michaela we kind of did the love letter |
1349s |
to our community she represented our |
1351s |
community and what our community loves |
1353s |
um and we I mean they resonated super |
1356s |
well to that so we wanted to do it again |
1359s |
uh you know that love is addictive um |
1363s |
and we also wanted to go back to |
1365s |
Universe of previous character that was |
1367s |
already in the plans like instead of |
1369s |
creating more and more universes new |
1371s |
ones we wanted to go back and go more in |
1373s |
depth so these two things come together |
1376s |
Sable was created and we wanted to make |
1378s |
sure that they both characters shared a |
1381s |
lot in common but that they would also |
1383s |
be distinct and be their own archetype |
1385s |
of a character and so you know they both |
1387s |
love horror they both they both love |
1389s |
dark things um and they're a little bit |
1392s |
magical both of them but they're also |
1395s |
different yeah so gameplay wise Michaela |
1397s |
and Sable share a lot of commonalities |
1399s |
but Sable's power they come from a |
1401s |
darker Place Michaela has moov so when |
1404s |
we started working on sa we tried to |
1406s |
figure out like how her power manifest |
1409s |
in its own unique way uh and so we |
1412s |
decided that she was interesting in |
1413s |
making darker deals so Boons have like a |
1416s |
certain aesthetic element to them and |
1418s |
Michaela and Michaela you know leverages |
1420s |
that beautifully but with Sable we |
1423s |
thought that making dark deals meant |
1424s |
that her perks could be centered around |
1426s |
the basement obviously one of the |
1428s |
darkest places to be on any map in dead |
1431s |
by daylight and in my house it's |
1434s |
terrifying do not like going down |
1437s |
there yes |
1440s |
so so uh Sable um has three wonderful |
1446s |
new perks uh so her first uh perk is |
1450s |
invocation weaving spiders which is a |
1451s |
new perk that that fits right at him uh |
1454s |
with her so Sable has to put herself at |
1456s |
risk uh and spend time in the basement |
1459s |
performing a long channeling interaction |
1462s |
uh survivors can help speed that up and |
1464s |
once that's completed uh the payoff is |
1466s |
that it reduces the repair requirement |
1468s |
for every |
1469s |
unfinished generator in the trial at |
1472s |
once but it comes at a cost the person |
1475s |
who started |
1477s |
invocation um becomes injured and broken |
1479s |
for the rest of the trial so it's a huge |
1481s |
Advantage you get to affect the map at |
1483s |
once but you're going to have to figure |
1485s |
out when is the right time to do that uh |
1488s |
Sable's second perk is strengthen |
1490s |
Shadows it lets you self heal without |
1492s |
the medkit uh everyone loves that but |
1495s |
the offset is that it's restricted to |
1497s |
the basement sorry it's self-care but |
1500s |
it's faster and only slightly more |
1502s |
dangerous uh it's a great example of |
1504s |
sable taking something bad like going to |
1507s |
the basement and then saying you know |
1508s |
what there's potential there let's do |
1510s |
something good out of that and her last |
1512s |
perk is wicked uh it's super interesting |
1515s |
Sable's extremely resilient so when |
1517s |
she's hooked in the basement she just |
1518s |
goes nope and just unhooks herself she |
1522s |
can she can just unhook herself as many |
1524s |
time as she wants uh and then once she |
1527s |
unhooks herself or she get unhooked by |
1529s |
another Survivor uh or she sees the |
1532s |
killer Aura for a limited time uh and |
1534s |
can carry on with the rest of trial it's |
1536s |
a great twist because if the killer |
1537s |
doesn't know then that could swing a |
1540s |
match in the survivor's favor at the |
1542s |
last minute I love that so while you're |
1545s |
getting into some some specifics how |
1547s |
about some tips for playing as and |
1549s |
against sure of course so as the unknown |
1553s |
uh one of the best tips I can give is |
1554s |
you're not a stealth killer but you need |
1556s |
to figure out when you do not want to be |
1559s |
by a Survivor during a chase you have a |
1561s |
range Power your power infects survivors |
1563s |
and forces them to look at you so don't |
1565s |
be afraid to pull back and threaten |
1567s |
injuries that range or you know close in |
1570s |
and try to injury with your melee weapon |
1573s |
uh you have a lot of flexibility to how |
1574s |
to you can chase survivors um if you |
1577s |
figure out uh the timing of yourin of |
1580s |
your hallucinations uh you can really |
1583s |
start having huge map advantages if you |
1585s |
know when to break Chase when to not |
1587s |
look for survivors |
1589s |
uh you know then that will really level |
1591s |
up your game and uh lastly the |
1593s |
projectile is worth mentioning again it |
1596s |
bounces and Ricochet off surfaces if you |
1599s |
master that and combine that with map |
1600s |
knowledge you get really creative and |
1602s |
hit survivors without Vision so uh it's |
1605s |
a huge Advantage um so when you're |
1608s |
playing against the unknown one of the |
1610s |
things you can do |
1611s |
is look backwards it's the way to like |
1616s |
Master facing the unknown if you learn |
1619s |
to look behind from time to times that's |
1622s |
the secret uh and it's like that Oasis |
1626s |
song yes I know that reference clearly |
1631s |
yes love Oasis and um and also yeah yeah |
1636s |
yeah uh love Oasis and so you can |
1638s |
destroy hallucinations and you should |
1640s |
because it really cuts down the |
1641s |
unknown's power please destroy the |
1643s |
hallucinations next to the generators it |
1646s |
do it for me just do it for me don't |
1648s |
hesitate destroy those hallucinations |
1650s |
and lastly be stealthie uh when you're a |
1652s |
Survivor and you decide to commit to a |
1654s |
Chase against the unknown it's a lot to |
1657s |
handle there's a projectile the bounces |
1659s |
the blast area the teleports so you know |
1662s |
try to always engage with the unknown at |
1665s |
on on your own terms uh that's the tips |
1668s |
that is the tips on top of all of that |
1670s |
like have fun experiment that's what's |
1673s |
cool about DVD there's a lot of mix and |
1675s |
match happening there's a lot thing to |
1677s |
discover and also if you face the |
1679s |
unknown during the day don't look under |

your bed after midnight |

lot of fun to work on it is like you |

said it's modeled after like a '90s era |

movie theater um we really wanted to |

kind of hit that Middle America feel as |

uh as you know like this this part of |

the entity's realm is is modeled after |

Middle America like everywhere but |

nowhere uh the same time uh we were |

really leaning into the memories of uh |

of the 9s like that's that's for for a |

lot of us like uh we we recognize uh |

going to the movies with the 90s I could |

have used you a few minutes ago when I |

made an oasis reference oh that went |

dead died crickets just crickets sorry |

yeah I mean it's but speaking of oases |

we're going to leans into Nostalgia for |

this one it's uh we're going right into |

the 90s so if you if it leans into |

nostalgia what was that process like |

with your team was it really fun did |

everyone kind of uh just tell us about |

how you approached building that yeah um |

so much fun working with the team on |

this um everybody has their own |

experiences with uh with going to the |

movies uh we we we tend to have an idea |

of what we'd like to achieve but then we |

we kind of work from the playability um |

of course this is a is a game so we have |

to consider all the spaces um so when |

you have a a theater you you kind of |
2097s |
deconstruct con all the different rooms |

um so we have the uh the lobby |
2102s |
concession we have the the arcade the |
2104s |
bathrooms upstairs screening room |
2105s |
projector room and then all the outside |
2107s |
space so it's it's a lot of uh parts |
2109s |
that you want to kind of pull apart and |
2111s |
then fix back together um to make the |
2114s |
the most enjoyable space to play um yeah |

this is this is uh this is how we we we |
2119s |
staged everything with our Collective |

Nostalgia right so you mentioned you had |

a team from all over the place so so did |

they each remember theaters differently |

growing up oh yeah for sure I mean uh |

everybody had their their input from you |
2132s |
know uh people that we we have on our |
2134s |
team from South America I'm from western |
2136s |
Canada so so I'm used to like Prairie |
2138s |
town uh style theaters uh and then |
2141s |
obviously here in Quebec so everybody |
2143s |
brought their their own uh uh kind of |
2146s |
flavor that uh that they wanted to to |
2148s |
kind of see represented um and then the |
2151s |
the best things that we agreed on of |
2153s |
course were were uh that funky 9s Decor |
2157s |
fantastic rugs the the carpets and then |
2160s |
uh overpriced hot |
2161s |
dogs the the moment that it clicked for |
2164s |
me was when I saw the carpet it's it's |
2166s |
so perfect and it's so like in the back |
2169s |
of my sense memory I didn't even have to |
2171s |
like yes I'm there spent a lot of time |
2173s |
with the carpet I can smell that that |
2176s |
carpet yeah yeah you can feel it on your |
2178s |
feet yeah exactly exactly so good job to |

you and the team on that um but that's |

what I love about what the art team does |

with our Maps they get to plant these |

little details and maybe more more so |

than any in this particular map there's |

a ton of little detail so what are some |

of the things that you'd like to call |

out that are in there yeah I mean |

details uh r on the nose like we we had |

so much fun working on uh the the |

different areas uh for me specifically |

the the arcade was a really big one um |
2206s |
I'm a big fan of arcades U even going to |

them at those theaters you know we have |
2212s |
uh we have that hybridization of uh |
2214s |
arcade and horror so like uh um all of |
2217s |
the |
2218s |
uh artists had um had an idea to |
2221s |
hybridize the the two so we have a |
2224s |
really interesting space there going |
2226s |
around the the the theater you'll see |
2228s |
lots of movie posters um we have the the |
2231s |
the entities's presence as well um we |
2234s |
really wanted to kind of um bring what |
2236s |
we've already known as the the uh the |
2239s |
entity's presence into this map by um |
2243s |
kind of having this melted Celluloid |
2245s |
look to it so that when you look around |
2247s |
and you see all these kind of like kind |
2249s |
of melty looking holes like that's that |
2251s |
was the idea behind it it's so cool and |
2253s |
I think going along with that Celluloid |

bit is the the projection room is maybe |
2258s |
one of the coolest spots of the whole |
2259s |
map want to talk about the projection |

room a little bit yeah absolutely like |

this is this is kind of where the film |
2263s |
nerds want to go this is concentrated |

lore and story this is where you're |
2268s |
going to see um all the the the really |
2271s |
behind the scenes um uh like movie |

theater stuff like uh this is where we |
2277s |
have like the the Vintage |
2279s |
posters possibly uh like teasing out uh |

new new games we have a old school |

projector that's hooked up to the |
2288s |
generator hit that generator it turns on |

the projector and then we see even more |

Easter eggs um the entity's presence in |

that room specifically is also really |

cool like having that drop down it looks |

amazing yeah I love those touches |

especially like you said these drags to |

other games maybe within this universe |

very cool um but again there's so many |

details anything else you kind of want |

I mean we we had uh so much fun um |

specifically uh the the lighting um |

horror horror movies the horror genre is |

is uh very lighting heavy because you |

know you build a lot of mood and |

Ambience with that so you know you you |

move around the map and you're going to |

see specific lighting scenarios so you |

move outside the the theater you're |
2332s |
going to have the parking lot parking |

lot we have cars lights on um uh uh |

Illuminating that area and then you move |
2339s |
into the uh the Green Space you're going |
2342s |
to have the uh uh the statue out there |
2345s |
kind of uh teasing some more lore you |
2347s |
know having some history there um some |
2350s |
Easter eggs located in that area |
2352s |
potentially um and then moving out to |
2354s |
the to the fence I mean like we have uh |
2357s |
we even have some floating cars outside |
2359s |
of that uh with light posts and trees |
2361s |
kind of floating in in midair this is |
2364s |
kind of to to signify this is kind of |
2366s |
like where the the edge of the |
2367s |
consciousness of the entity so it's uh |

yeah it was it was a lot of fun just |

lots of things kind of placed throughout |

the map that don't feel like they belong |

there which is is kind of like on theme |

said this is supposed to be on a very |

different level than and all of those |

others but we're taking the core idea of |

those which is earning massive amounts |

of blood points and amplifying it even |

further so if you like blood points |

you're going to like this event when the |

team started brainstorming on this a |

while back we we were trying to figure |

out what the theme of our new event |

should be and we realized we never |

actually had a big one that was just |
3617s |
about blood we're a horror game we've |

had the the blood rush we've had blood |
3622s |
hunts yes but nothing to really get |
3626s |
blood all all in in the matches you know |
3628s |
to soak the trials in blood so we |
3631s |
decided it was about time which brings |
3632s |
us to our blood moon event that we're |
3634s |
talking about today all right and with |
3637s |
this new event that's kind of coming in |
3639s |
what is it about the blood moon event |
3641s |
that really sets it apart from the |
3642s |
others so like I said not just the |
3645s |
multiplier this is a full event so we've |
3647s |
got a visual overhaul unique gameplay a |
3649s |
community element and Avenged home so |
3652s |
there's tons of challenges to play plus |
3654s |
some very awesome rewards that I can't |
3656s |
wait for players to see later at its |
3659s |
core we really just wanted to create an |
3662s |
a event where every spring know the |
3665s |
blood moon is rising in the entity's |
3667s |
realm and it basically rains blood |
3669s |
points on our players we want this to |
3671s |
hands down be the best moment for |
3673s |
earning blood points of the year every |
3675s |
year all right well that honestly sounds |
3678s |
awesome but I think we need to know a |
3680s |
bit more about how it works sure so in |
3683s |
matches during the the blood moon event |
3686s |
players are going to find droplets that |
3688s |
they can accumulate and then spend to |
3690s |
create blood basins once a blood Basin |
3693s |
is created a blood zone is then going to |
3695s |
spawn for you quite a large radius and |
3699s |
both roles are going to be able to |
3701s |
interact with this in some way and and |
3703s |
now I must say that there's a period of |
3705s |
protection so after a blood zone is |
3707s |
created the opposing role will be able |
3709s |
to destroy it once that protection |
3711s |
period is gone but while the blood zone |
3714s |
is there killers are going to get an |
3716s |
increased attack lunge distance so |
3719s |
they're going to be able to attack even |
3720s |
a little bit further but that comes at |
3722s |
the cost of having an extended cool down |
3724s |
where you got to really wipe all that |
3725s |
extra blood off your blade you got to |
3728s |
keep it clean in the blood moon event uh |
3731s |
for survivors they're going to have |
3732s |
their grunts of pain reduced and their |
3734s |
pools of blood are going to actually |
3736s |
disappear even faster while in the blood |
3738s |
zone now if a Survivor is crouched you |
3741s |
know that's going to be even more you |
3742s |
know the grunts of pain are going to be |
3743s |
reduced further and the pools of blood |
3744s |
will disappear even faster |

nice like I said the blood Zone pool the |
3749s |
blood zone areas are going to be really |
3751s |
huge so as you progress through a mash |

you're going to be running into them |
3755s |
fairly often as more and more keep on |
3757s |
getting generated what's really cool |

though is for the person who creates the |
3762s |
blood Zone they're going to get these |
3763s |
benefits map wide so long as the blood |
3766s |
zone is protected which is going to be |

fantastic um and no matter who you are |

you know Survivor or killer everyone is |

going to get extra blood points for |
3775s |
actions taken with within a blood Zone |

then if a player has used the bloodshot |

eye offering those blood points are |

boosted even further it's all about |

blood points I'm really looking forward |

to getting into a trial with this I I'm |

like so stoked right now |

so just kind of tapping into that |

because you were saying that collecting |

blood points is going to be a really big |

events blood moon has its own Avent to |

with two level levels of challenges |

but what really sets it apart from all |

those other ones is what we call our |

blood Seekers Community challenge |

objective and that's going to create a |

community-driven blood Point multiplier |

that is being continuously increased as |

players perform blood moon related |

actions which is creating blood zones so |

the higher the progression the bigger |
3825s |
the blood Point bonus is for everybody |
3827s |
and we're going to be maxing this out at |
3829s |
a pretty high multiplier So the faster |
3832s |
the community hits that threshold the |
3834s |
more everyone gets out of the event okay |

well you know I love me some Community |

goals I'm really looking forward to this |

one but correct me if I wrong we are |

also adding a new special item just for |
3844s |
survivors right yeah every event that we |
3847s |
do we try to see what new items we can |

add that are meaningful for the event so |

this time around we've created what we |

call the blood sense map so when a |
3857s |
Survivor is using this it will show you |
3858s |
whoever is bleeding across the entire |
3860s |
map you'll see the aura of you know all |
3862s |
the injured survivors but it requires a |
3865s |
sacrifice when using the blood sense map |
3868s |
you also create pools of blood around |
3870s |
you so it's a nice little bit of risk |
3872s |
reward involved all right and you were |
3874s |
talking about kind of rewards I did see |
3877s |
some of the outfits that are kind of |
3878s |
coming in and they honestly look like |

they've already got their style like |

really nailed down for this event yeah |

honestly the art team has crushed it |

this time uh this collection is amazing |

obsessed we have Michaela reimagined and |

blood magic outfit and the skull |

Merchant still retains her dangerous |

Elegance that she's known for but her |

Scarlet Vengeance collection makes it |

clear that her blood lust has turned |

into a full-on blood |

Obsession and the gamblers Russ of it is |

still Ace um he's himself with his deck |

of cards and he's got his funky |

hairstyle but he's got more likely than |

ever to bet big on red and finally we |

have the doctor's blood shock outfit |

which is made him reliant on these vials |

of blood all attached all over his body |

to power himself and those are the |

outfits in the store collection but we |

have two free outfits that you can earn |

Oni which we've also put a ton of love |

into for Ed we came up with a bit of a |

seaf fairing theme because she's from an |

island nation and for the Oni we already |

everything about that element of him and |

just dranked it to 11 with blood |

incantations all over his chest and his |

back I'm honestly so excited to be |

running away from the Oni with that |

cosmetic it's insane um but just so we |

can kind of shift our our Focus over to |

Sable uh for her we're introducing two |

collections first we have the Sable |

Essentials collection featuring two rare |

Helen and the leather fire brand outfits |

both very rare all right I mean just |

from the names alone I'm really looking |

forward to it I mean Sable herself is |

also just an essential for me um but can |

you tell us a bit more about The |

Inspirations for these designs |

mhm we really love Sable's vibe in |

general and we we wanted to Showcase her |

connection that she has with Michaela |

this is another really strong |

interesting female character that we |

hope that our players will love and of |
4332s |
course she's her first unofficial goth |
4336s |
character which is so much fun these two |
4338s |
collections are two very different plays |

on that style and it how Sable makes it |
4343s |
specifically her own just because she's |
4346s |
a little gos it doesn't mean that she |
4348s |
needs to be terrifying Sable might be a |
4350s |
little rough around the edges but |

honestly she's so very kind and so |
4354s |
selfless she went into the fog on her |
4356s |
own accord to try and save her friend |
4358s |
Michaela after all so we wanted these |
4360s |
collections to show both of those sides |

kind of spiky on the outside but soft on |

the inside I honestly Sable is |

friendship goals because I want someone |

to go into the fog for me right um You |

you hope you have those friends right um |

over to the known so you know a killer |

we know next to nothing about um how did |

you guys manage to make the outfits even |

rare uh for the unknown aberration |
