This morning I found out i was banned from DRG's official discord server "for transphobia". I didn't actually insult anybody (nor i think of trans people negatively) but it happened because of some reactions under a meme in the meme chat. Those reactions were exclusively inherent to the meme, wich i thought was kinda unrelatable, but they could as well be interpreted as opinions (i reacted with the clown and the vomiting emote), so i won't blame it all on the mods wich were just doing their job, although i am still a bit pissed at how reacting to a meme can get people banned

I'm writing because i have a couple of questions: -Does anybody know the fate of those that reacted negatively to that meme like me? around 15-30 people reacted and I think they've all been muted for a day or outright banned, but I'm not sure. And secondly, although it's more of a desperate desire: is the ban permanent? Or does it expire after a long time?

With this post i don't mean to justify my actions or giving the finger to the mods: I used the reaction emotes in an ambiguous way and the mods banned me for (at least apparently) breaking the rules. To any moderators reading this: please don't just delete this post, I'm just looking for a bunch of answers

If you act like a bigot, you get treated like a bigot - reactions are expressions of opinions, too - it's not a safe space for treating others poorly.

Bans are usually permanent, but ban appeals are possible. If you genuinely feel that you were misunderstood, send me a message with your username.
