I used to be a marathon gamer. Whole weekends spent grinding through my latest game. These days, im lucky to get an hour a day after the kids go to bed, if I don't fall asleep at the desk by 9pm. It's a typical story for us aging gamers.

Then I find this damn game and these damn dwarves. I've put in 90hrs in one month. I've seen the sun rise through my window 7 times now, completely unintentionally. Its been well over a decade since I've been able to stay up past 1am while gaming, never mind being greeted by chirping birds at 5:30.

I haven't been sucked onto a game like this in years. Every mission feels fresh. Every party is fun and friendly. The combat is bombastic and exhilarating. The customisation is robust. It reminds me of every early 2000s online rpg. It reminds me of where my love of games came from

Thank you, Ghost Ship Games. Thank you for making me feel like a kid again.

edit had the game for about a month now

Yeah, but now I play DRG with my kids. Just takes a bit of time to get there.

Me and my partner are both around 30 and fell for the game pretty hard. We've loved some Co-op games in the past but only DRG got us buying merch and painting little printed miniatures from the game.

But I'm also starting to feel some of the burnout and as much as I want to go promote all of my classes, I'm starting to think I should go look for something else to play more often until U35 or something

I hear varriety is the spice of life ;-)

DRG will be here (and better than ever) when you return.

Oh, I'm still going to be playing DRG. Just maybe a couple of missions every couple of days instead of wiping on EDD non-stop for 4 hours every night.

And you guys definitely need to put out another game for me to play as well. Or get DRG 2 out.

Sounds reasonable.

And yes, we do, but no idea when that will happen. It's full on DRG here at Ghost Ship Games for now.
