[2023] I just wanna say that I think the devs found the perfect combination of “apathetic asshole” and “actually caring about you” for Mission Control, and I really appreciate it

He’s just like “god dwarves are annoying, always drinking and messing about with my decorations, but I really hope they get home from the next mission okay, they’re really good at their jobs and it’d be a giant shame if they met an end to their shenanigans at the bottom of some god forsaken cave. No matter how annoying they are I would still miss them. Rock and stone my annoying friends, get home safe. Not without my minerals though, I’m not paying them for nothing, if they can’t do their jobs that’s a them problem.” It makes the game a lot better for me, and it would be way less fun if he was either totally apathetic and didn’t care at all about us or was way too overly supportive and caring.
