It's a new type that can appear under the same conditions as the existing one does.

he looks much cooler and more unique now. current dreads are a bit... video-gamey, if that makes any sense.
in fact, his rocky appearance makes it look like some sort of opressor offshoot. I feel the urge to run up to it and bash his head in with a pickaxe.
by the way, is this only an aesthetic change, or are the mechanics of the fight going to receive some tweaks?
This is one of the new variants, that can appear when you pop a cocoon (or the rare Dreadnought wave). The old one is still there, judging you from a distance.
