[2020] Hitching / Stuttering since launch

For context, I've been playing the Steam version for about 2 years now on the same machine (i7 7700k, gtx1080), usually without issue. Since launch I've been having strange issues ingame and wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

I'll get fps drops at seemingly random moments (eg: just walking around after a wave), or when certain audio triggers happen (BetC dying is a big one), and it even causes audio to crackle or stutter, which is new to me. There's no actual spikes or drops in CPU/GPU use when they happen either, I'll have smooth 60fps, Bet-C dies and the audio goes to sh*t for a few seconds, then it's fine again.

I disabled Master EQ but that doesn't solve anything.
