I decided to figure out exactly how much "drunkenness" a given drink is worth, and exactly where the threshhold is.

After many nights of rigorous experimentation, I discovered the following:

  1. A "regular" drink, such as the Oily Oaf Brew and any of the Specials, provides 1 point of drunkenness.
  2. A "strong" drink, such as the Glyphid Slammer, provides 2 points of drunkenness.
  3. A "refreshing" drink, which shall not be named for fear of causing great offense, removes all points of drunkenness, and provides many points of shame and dishonour in the eyes of your dwarven ancestors.
  4. 4 points is the maximum dwarves can tolerate. Any points gained after 4 results in passing out.

Thus, a glyphid slammer, priced at 85 credits, costs 42.5 credits per point of drunkenness. The Oily Oaf Brew costs 35 credits per point of drunkenness. A certain unnamed beverage costs 25 credits, eliminates all drunkenness, brings unimaginable disgrace to your entire bloodline, and ensures that your sizeable dwarven progeny will never again be able to look you in the eye.

In conclusion, the cheapest way to drink yourself into oblivion (i.e., to gain >4 points of drunkenness) is to skull 5 Oily Oaf Brews; this will set you back 175 credits. By contrast, you can achieve the same thing by drinking three Glyphid Slammers, however this will cost you 255 credits. Alternatively, you can drink 2 Glyphid Slammers, followed up with one Oily Oaf Brew, which will cost you 205 credits.

PS: I'm looking forward to all the new drinks in the next update.

See, this is the kind of min-maxing I can get into.
