[2023] Banned from the DRG discord server for litlle to no reason

You also see people get unbanned, when they realize that they can’t do their usual “very silly stuff” on an official discord server with almost 600k members. :)

Asking people to Google something that will result in straight up porn results on the official discord with half a million people should not be on the list of your brigthest moments. Think about it for a bit and if you come to a point where you agree that it might not have been a good idea, you can send me your username and I’ll lift the ban.

Edit: I've seen all the feedback, including disagreeing on the original action taken. I'm not saying a ban was warranted, but it's not necessarily uncalled for on a server of this size, all things considered. When it happens, it's also not hard to reach out and get unbanned (so please do in similar situations). Locking the thread, so we can get back to mining.

That's fair, but you also got a bit more from it, which is what I object to.

Thing is, so did a bunch of others. There's context to things happening, which might not always be apparent (which sucks, but it is what it is). DM me your username if you want to get unbanned.

Different platform, different tools. I've chosen to have more relaxed rules here, since there's a NSFW tag and Reddit is self-moderating to some extent. Discord is way more active, and also target of more scam, bots and spam, and generally needs tighter moderation on some things.
