I'm looking for a split screen game to play with my but wondered if the game is too complicated for a 7 year old?

I'd imagine the game is as complicated as you make it but I'm curious if its the type of thing that they could pick up and play or are there too many mechanics to learn? Are there complex menu systems or is it difficult to switch between items, for example?

For reference, I'd consider Minecraft to be a little too complex so if its very similar in terms of combining items etc. Its probably a bit too advanced for now.

Thanks

Thanks for the in depth answer - really helpful. I think I'll give it a go. We'll be playing split screen so I'll be there to walk her through some of the more complex bits that crop up.

No split screen option, unfortunately - no plans for it either.

I’ve heard of younger kids playing it. There’s some swearing you might want to be aware of. If you really want to, you could probably replace those files manually with some legwork.
