Water in blocks is not close to what would be needed here - and not sure what you mean by “Noob self taught coders”. Notch was already in the industry when he made Minecraft, and presumably coded the water.
let them come here and tell us why they are the only game company that can't implement water.

He created his own company because he kept getting turned down for dev jobs because they said he was obviously self taught and unhireable.
He worked as a game developer for King in Sweden from 2004 to 2009. Minecraft was released in 2009.
