It's not an uncommon occurrence for my friends and I to be at the end of a deep dive or a 50+ minute mission when suddenly the host either crashes or loses internet. In some games, this isn't a problem, because the mission effectively pauses and allows players to reconnect with a new host.

In Deep Rock, if I'm hosting and my game crashes, my friends and I just have to live with having wasted an hour. It feels really bad. Obviously I'm not a dev, so I don't know what kind of challenges are in the way of adding a feature like this.

If the reason is that there simply hasn't been demand for it, I'd like to throw my hardhat into the ring. DRG is my favorite game, and a lack of host migration is one of the few things that remain to complain about.

This is certainly something we'd love to do, but it is absolutely not trivial to implement. I'm just the Art Director, so I can't give you any specifics, but I know the programmers get a haunted look in their eyes when it's brought up...
