/u/gsg_jacob already commented a while ago on some post where apparently someone's friend was too triggered to play the game because there's no female characters.
Apparently it's not that easy to make and implement new models into the game and its not a high priority.
Long story short, all our cosmetic systems are based on one body shaoe, and adding another bodytype would require us to redo it. We also don’t want to half-ass it and say that dwarven genders are indistinguishable from each other. If we do female dwarves, we want to do it right.
