[2020] Account wiped?

I've sunk a TON of time and effort into this game. It might be my favorite game I've played. But, for some reason, my account seems to have been wiped? I played this morning, then I played Assassins Creed Odyssey for the first time since I bought it a while ago. Went and ate dinner. Came back, and DRG wants me to play the tutorial as if it's the first time I've booted the game. I immediately quit and restarted my PC. Then I verified files via Steam, then I launched again. Same thing. I restarted my PC again, leaving it off for a good few minutes. Same thing. I've had games make me do the tutorial again for random-ass reasons, so I messaged a few buddies and asked what to do. They said "Maybe you can just finish it and then it'll be fine.

It is not. Everything I have is set back to level 1. I was nearly account rank 70, three-star silver on my driller, two-star bronze on my gunner, promoting my other classes. I just FINALLY got my first beard-jewel. I ove this game so much I even bought a T-shirt from the merch store and everything.

Now I have nothing. Back to 0. Is there ANYONE, ANYWHERE who can help me. I really don't want to have to spend another nearly 300 hours in the game just to get where I already was.

There is a "Recover Save" in the "Options." Should this happen to you, that got my characters back.
