[2019] Trace Rifles In PVE are surprisingly strong these days and a lot of fun to use.

I had a gunsmith bounty for getting trace rifle kills, so decided to use one in Menagerie. I was surprised at how much fun it was. I started out using Prometheus Lens and it just melts adds. I don’t think any weapon melts enemies this fast, while also continuously reloading. It’s borderline broken. Majors go down quick too. Decided to swap to Coldheart for the boss encounter and forgot how much damage it ramps up to. Curious how much damage a full team using these would dish out. It helped that arc singe was on as well. I will say it is useful to have Special Ammo finder active though, because ammo goes quick. I’m looking forward to trying out the void one with Shadowkeep.

TLDR: If you’re bored of shotguns, Loaded Question and Recluse in PVE, give Trace Rifles a try. Nice change of pace and you won’t feel at a disadvantage.
