Also wasn't on their known issues list the last I checked (I think last week?)
Would be nice to see some acknowledgement. Very annoying when they're the primary way to heal on prismatic, and its made sunbreaker feel worse then it already did.
We are aware of this issue and currently working on a fix for a future update. We'll make sure it gets added to our Known Issues list for awareness.
Tomorrow (Nov 5), we are planning to issue a fix for RNG Perk Weighting Issues in Destiny 2 Hotfix 8.1.0.4.We'd like to take a moment to thank all our community members who helped in identifying this issue.
In thanks for their efforts, and to help players get their hands on a few impacted weapons, we're planning the following
⚔️Starting November 19 through December 3, the Vesper's Host Dungeon will offer double drops for encounter and activity completions.
➡Both weapon and armor rewards can drop from encounter completions. This will be a great time to hunt for your desired rolls on weapons, or even hit Master difficulty to earn some Artifice armor.
🤖Starting November 19, Banshee-44 will have a small collection of weapons in the Tower with curated perk rolls. Our goal is to get you some perk combinations that were a bit harder to earn due to the bug. We do not currently have a planned deadline for acquisition, but we recommend picking these weapons...

The Telesto detonations should have their PvP damage fixed in Act 2.
u/mercules904 r/Cozmo23 Any update on the investigation into the Comp Points for this season? Comp feels terrible between now and the previous seasons with match making, points for one loss erasing an entire win streak, etc etc.
We pushed a temporary fix last week, points should be closer to even for wins and losses until we can get a more permanent fix in place.
They might be referring to the fact that when Mori is active, the gun has less range than at base. I do understand that the gun still 3 taps at its normal range with Mori active though.
Sure, but for at least as long as I’ve been here it has always had that. Even before the ADS damage falloff changes Mori had reduced range compared to the base performance.
So that’s not really a nerf that can be undone in the same vein as the other things discussed here, it would just be a buff ;)
Undoing the ace of spades momento mori range nerf would also be great tbh
To clarify, Memento Mori did not get a range nerf.
Memento Mori actually has slightly more range now than it did before we made those changes, it just did not get the full extent of the range buff we gave to the base hand cannon.
We increased base damage falloff for hand cannons and then reduced the damage falloff for Memento Mori rounds correspondingly so it only got a small buff and stayed near where it already was.
The team is continuing to make progress in addressing issues impacting Perk RNG. Currently, we are targeting a hotfix for November 5, 2024. As this fix will touch code for a game-wide system, we're giving the team a bit more time to fully validate the changes needed to address this issue.
In the long-term, we're looking at a few options not only to thank many of you for your data-crunching, but to get some weapons in your hands that had perk rolls with lower RNG chances than intended. First and foremost, we found a fitting emblem deep within our vaults that almost seemed destined for this.
The emblem will represent a moment in time when many throughout the community came together to help us identify this issue. Between your data and our simulations for hundreds of thousands of drops... we're all becoming Conquerors of Infinity.
Redeem the following code at ...

Make sure your Destiny account is linked - that way the team is able to see more backend information for your account and dig on what may be causing an issue.
Our team has been working through community-sourced data and internal simulations to reproduce reported issues regarding legendary weapon perk RNG.
After investigation, we can confirm an issue has been found in our code where some random perk combinations are harder to earn per legendary weapon perk set. In some cases, desirable perk combinations are a bit easier to earn as well. While we inspected our content and confirmed each perk is weighted equally, an issue in perk pool RNG is the culprit here.
Our team has quickly identified a potential solution to the issue, and we are rapidly working to validate the fix.
We are aiming to address this as soon as possible and will share a planned hotfix date when available.
External link →While we have confirmed that there is no intentional perk weighting on weapons within our content setup, we are now investigating a potential issue within our code for how RNG perks are generated.
Many thanks to all players who have been contributing to data collection across the community. This data has been monumentally helpful with our investigation, and we are currently working on internal simulations to confirm your findings.
We will provide more information as soon as it is available.
External link →Hey all,
We have discovered a missed patch note for Destiny 2 Update 8.1.0 regarding ignition damage versus bosses. After an initial ignition, bosses now gain progressively higher damage resistance to ignitions that occur over a short amount of time (five seconds of DR from last ignition to take place).
We have identified an issue where these subsequent ignitions are doing far less damage than intended. We are planning to tune this damage resistance appropriately, and for it to only apply to the Vesper's Host dungeon boss Raneiks Unified, rather than it being game-wide.
We are planning to address these issues in Update 8.1.5, planned for Mid-November. Please stay tuned for more details.
External link →Hey all, we had a conversation with our Sandbox folks this morning about this. There is no perk weighting active for any legendary weapon perks in Destiny 2.
We have added perk attunement for Exotic Class Items in a recent update, but that's a different system.
Good morning, everyone!
What Sandbox related questions do you have for our team? Weapons, Armor, Abilities - you name it!
We're in the process of fleshing out a fun Q&A session for a future TWID. We can't answer them all, but looking forward to seeing what's on your minds.
Thank you!
External link →Hey all, appreciate you bringing this to our attention. I've sent it in for an investigation.
If anyone has a video that shows all the effect spam, or issues where it's causing distress for you, sharing it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the report. We're currently tracking this issue.
Do you mind sharing what platform you were playing on?
EDIT: Also, any videos you might have would be helpful.
EDIT 2: Thanks everyone. We have enough videos and information to help diagnose the cause of the issue.
I use Duke! They changed it's sound when they moved every 110s to 120.
Or are you talking about this episode's change?
update: holy shit
This seems to have happened by mistake somehow. I'll take a look and fix it
Just tested the four burst mode (knew I had to come running to help your child, lol). It does allow you to fire the sniper shots, and upon reaching 0 sniper rounds, it switches back to the regular burst mode and performs as intended.
You cannot switch off sniper mode once activated (not sure if that was always the case?), but I can confirm that the gun does not fire its sniper rounds if it's in the 2-burst mode. It's basically soft locked.
4 burst mode works correct. 2 softlocks it.
Yup I see the issue. I’ll get a bug in and get it fixed ASAP.
/u/mercules904 Yo, your gun is broken. Once you activate the sniper mode the gun totally locks up and doesn't fire. You also can't change it back by holding R or swapping weapons.
If you want to replicate the issue, I've been using it in the 2-burst mode and charging it up to 1-2 sniper shots. I was able to replicate it just in Patrol in the EDZ.
Does it work correctly in 4-burst mode?
First thing I’m gonna do is do the final Witch Queen mission to see my guardian point a stick at a dead Savathûn.
Send us a screenshot when you do this.
