Dear Destiny,

Ive been playing you ever since I was a little kid. You were my first FPS game that I was ever allowed to own, and I couldn't have asked for a better game to start with. One of the highlights of my day was coming home from my AAA baseball camps, getting into my fire-team, and doing Raids. It wasn't just a game to us. It was a way of bonding, releasing stress from the long days we had, and an overall good time. 5 years later and I'm still loving the game, but the other members of my old fire-team couldn't think anymore differently.

They say the game is dead, unrewarding. They say that they don't enjoy the story. They don't even give themselves a chance to love it like they used too, and how I still do. They say the community is nowhere to be seen, and that we show no place in the gaming community. I think they're wrong. I know they're wrong. Destiny is a game of dedication. A game that won't try to be like the others. A game that gives you an entire night or day of fun and joy. A game that shows who its real fans are. A game with a story that brings us closer, and that brings us joy when meeting allies, and brings us sadness when they leave.

When Cayde-6 passed, my heart sunk, and my eyes filled with sadness. When my guardian spoke for his revenge, I got chills. When I avenged him not only for me, but for the Vanguard and my fellow Guardians, I threw my fist in the air. I felt accomplishment. I felt satisfaction. I felt ready for more. It didn't feel like a story had ended. It felt like a new chapter was about to begin. This is the feeling that I play Destiny for, and I know I'm not alone.

Thank you for the experiences you have given me, and the ones yet to come.

Sincerely,

a fellow Guardian.
