[2022] Issue With Destiny Account and Bungie Account

I am hoping I can maybe get some help since Bungie does not have an official email or contact form. Maybe /u/dmg04 or /u/cozmo23 can possibly point me in the right direction. But I created my destiny account logged in all good. Played the campaign and some pvp for about 5-6 hours. I wanted to get DIM working but when I went to bungie to create an account I get this error saying. "The request has failed; You do not have any available Bungie Name changes." This seems like an odd error as it is a new account. I also seem to notice every time I login I see this message about crossplay even though this is the only account I have. https://imgur.com/zY2vA96

So next I went to google and searched destiny 2 players to get to a site to lookup the bunige name. Based on the crossplay screenshot and the roster showing this as my name. https://imgur.com/7uYEUuu I assume its Fox#6655. When I look that name up on various Destiny stat sites its showing a different person. Any help would be much appreciated. It seems I can sign on and its my own account but another user and I have the same bungie id which may be preventing me to create an account on bungies site to use things such as DIM.

Hi there. I can only locate one Fox#6655 Bungie Name in our system. It's very improbable for someone to have both the same Bungie Name and Bungie ID.

While investigating your name, I discovered that you can't create a Bungie.net account because you already have one that was created in 2017. It is linked to your Steam account.

I'm unable to locate that Steam name. Could you send me the Steam ID number?

To find it, open the Steam app. In the top-right, click your name, and press "Account Details." When the page loads, cope the number below your name.

Thanks. Interestingly enough, that account isn't showing a Bungie Name. That might be why you keep seeing the Cross Save screen pop-up. I've tried to attach a Bungie Name to your account with new numbers. Please log in to see if that helped.

Glad to hear it :)

You should be able to log into Bungie.net as well with your Steam account. Looks like an account has already been created.

Revision Zero is such a sick weapon

Not the most esthetically pleasing but the sound design of this gun is on another level man! Easily the best sounding gun ever, including the other FPS games I've played.
